Third of a cask pint at the Scottish Real Ale Festival in Edinburgh’s Corn Exchange on 7th July 2017. Nice red hue to the copper body, white head that faded away a bit swiftly. Bottle from The Inverurie Whisky Shop. It pours clear rich brown with a medium white head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, toffee, caramel, dried fruits, brown bread and malt loaf. The taste is dry, bitter - sweet, fruit cake, dried fruits, malt loaf, earthy, wood, leather, resin and light spice with a dry, woody finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Clear medium yellow amber color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, caramel. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration, pale malt, caramel, light nutty. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat.

GBBF Day 2. Cask. Clear amber beer, no head. Palate is light and semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Bright citrus - orange and tangerine. Some peel. Light dry finish. A bit of zip in this one!
