(bottle - 12 oz) Clear gold with a soapy white head. Light corn and grain aroma. Flavor is a bit sweet at first with a grassy and corn middle and a sweet aftertaste. A bit too much. Darkmagus82 (2302) - - AUG 17, 2014

Poured from bottle into pint glass
Appearance – Pours an orange-amber color with a two finger white head. The head has a decent level of retention fading slowly to leave a very light level of lacing on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is a mix of corn and a light caramel and light herbal hop smell.
Taste – The taste begins with some crisp corn sweetness as well as a good bready base. As the taste advances a light caramel taste takes the place of a dwindling corn sweetness. During this time, herbal and grassy hop flavors come to the tongue. In the end a rather grassy and herbal flavor mixed with some corn and malt are left to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the average side in terms of creaminess and carbonation with a decent crispness. Good for the style but nothing exceptional.
Overall - Not a bad brew, but nothing exceptional either. I don’t know if I really like the grassy hop flavor that lingers on the tongue. Worth a try but nothing I would likely frequent all that often.

Grainy lager with chapagne like carbonation. Mix between a macro style adjunct and german pilsner. Slight hop finish FROTHINGSLOSH (7796) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 3, 2014
UPDATED: AUG 16, 2014 Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured an orange-caramel color with a medium sized soapy-creamy orange-white head that left good lacing. The aroma was sweet and malty with caramel, citric hops and a bit of yeast. The flavor was tangy and astringent with citrus, and hints of caramel, honey and bread. Medium length finish. Medium body. Bottle from Giant Eagle Altoona. Pours effervescent Amber/Orange with some rimming, yellow hues. 1 finger, creamy white head. Wet grass and biscuit nose. Nice, underlying caramel flavor that’s overpowered by some grassy astringency that dominates the finish and after. Nice mouthfeel. A decent little pils. Crisp, clean, refreshing, easy hoppiness to it. Not the typical corn malts that dominate adjunct lager swill. Very easy drinking. kramer (6682) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 30, 2014
Bottle. Pours a clear dark gold body with a small fizzy white head that faded to a thin ring. The nose is light pale malt with a little wet husky grain and a minimal touch of hops. The flavor is a little sweet with some doughy malt and a light bitterness on the finish. A little heavier bodied than most of the other Straub beers, but not especially heavier on the hops. Moderate hard fizzy carbonation. Meh, a little bit of a different take on the Straub Lager, but not all that special.
