Typical lager aroma of grains and yeast. Gold color light carbonation not much of a head. Light body with a clean grain taste and a short lasting grainy palate. dp (608) - uniontown, Ohio, USA - MAR 31, 2008
I wondered why this was soo easy to diink, now that I see the alcohol content, understand. has a corny aftertaste that is not unpleasant, could see drinking quite a few of these in the summer tone77 (256) - Pennsylvania, USA - APR 6, 2012
Pours a pale yellow color. Smell is mild, a touch of corn and grains. Taste is also mild, some grains, a hint of hops. Overall there is nothing to separate this from other light beers. Darkmagus82 (2302) - - MAY 17, 2014

Poured from bottle into pint glass
Appearance - A very pale straw yellow color with white head that fades very fast. Not a great look for a brew, but standard for a light I would say.
Smell - Not a whole lot of odor, but a it of corn sweetness followed by a bit of maltiness.
Taste - The taste was actually more pronounced then what would have been originally expected. A sweetness from the corn and a bit of maltiness, but again more pronounced then the average light beer.
Mouthfeel - Much thicker then expected for the 3.2 % abv with a good level of carbonation.
Overall - A bit better for then the average light beer. OhioDad (2492) - Hilliard, Ohio, USA - AUG 5, 2005
12 oz bottle pours pale golden with a thin white head. Aroma of light grains and malts. Flavor is much the same. Very slight hop finish. On the palate this is crisp and clean and actually not all that bad for a light beer that is only 96 calories.

Bottle. Listed as Ground Hog. Pours a clear copper color with a small white head. A sweet grainy and honey nose. The flavor is basically a thin decent pale lager; sweet and grainy, some light spicy hops perhaps. OK. hopdog (12953) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 11, 2016
12oz bottle. Poured a yellow color with an averaged sized head. Grainy and really not too much going on here. DirtyJerd (61) - Edinboro, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 18, 2007
As far as light beers go, Straub Light is right up there. While the flavor is not as powerful as one would like - it is somewhat expected from a light beer. Still has a nice taste with a clean aftertaste. And with no preservatives, you don’t need to worry about those hangovers in the morning. Drew (2411) - Kent, Ohio, USA - SEP 19, 2003
I'd have to give this a higher score in Appearance if it wasn't for the too pale yellow color - It did have a decent head and the lacing was just fantastic for such a light beer. Flavor was sharp with carbonation up front, a thin sweet malt, and a lightly peppered hop bite at the finish. Surprisingly not horrible.

Thin, almost to the minimum of Mich Ultra proportions. Barely any taste at all - a tiny bit of sweetness and that's all. At least this is not like the movie "Groundhog Day" - you'd have to drink this beer over and over again. (the label was neat though)
