Bottle. Corn water with alcohol added for effect. Not very good... Very thin and the only flavor and aroma is corn. DirtyJerd (61) - Edinboro, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 18, 2007
As far as light beers go, Straub Light is right up there. While the flavor is not as powerful as one would like - it is somewhat expected from a light beer. Still has a nice taste with a clean aftertaste. And with no preservatives, you don’t need to worry about those hangovers in the morning. jokerman (4) - Monaca, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 3, 2007 does not count
UPDATED: MAR 19, 2007 Wow this is a REALLY light beer.
Fizzy water with just a hint of actual beer taste in the background. hopscotch (11238) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - NOV 28, 2006
Draft... GBOA ’06... Clear straw-colored lager with a small, creamy, white head. Decent retention. Almost nondescript nose and flavor, but I do pick up some soapy, grainy notes with plenty of diacetyl to go around. Ultra light-bodied and fizzy. Short, crisp, clean finish. Better than Straub Premium only because it’s more watered-down and, therefore, has fewer offensive flavors and aromas. jcwattsrugger (12524) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - NOV 27, 2006

On draft at the Newtown Brewfest. Pours pale yellow with a white head. Aroma of grain and corn. The flavor is weak, grainy, and corn. Thin body, crap brew. MadIndian (2743) - Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 21, 2006
Drank with Stegosaurus and Beereded_one at Newton brew fest. Absolutely horrible. Watery corn flavor and ultra thin. Prostman (1077) - Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 27, 2006
Pretty decent for a cheap beer and something I would buy more often if the price was right. Dogbrick (13789) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JUL 5, 2006
Clear straw color with a medium thin white head with fair retention. Minimal lacing. Aroma of light grassy hops and a hint of malt. Light-bodied and crisp at first but becomes watery right away. Mild grassy hops flavor, along with a bit of sweet malt. The finish is carbonated with very little flavor aside from a touch of hops. Although boring, it is decent for a Light beer. tauruslw33 (69) - Erie, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 19, 2006
I love Straub Beer. I am always a little dissapointed when I get this beer. It has little to no aroma and pours a pale yellow. Very watered down (but much more flavour than your average American lights). For a hot summers day, I would pick this, but not the better of Straub’s beers.
