Clear straw color with a medium thin white head with fair retention. Minimal lacing. Aroma of light grassy hops and a hint of malt. Light-bodied and crisp at first but becomes watery right away. Mild grassy hops flavor, along with a bit of sweet malt. The finish is carbonated with very little flavor aside from a touch of hops. Although boring, it is decent for a Light beer. hopdog (13102) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 11, 2016
12oz bottle. Poured a yellow color with an averaged sized head. Grainy and really not too much going on here. jcwattsrugger (12524) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - NOV 27, 2006

Bottle. Lactic barley malt aroma. Pale yellow with small head. Tap water with hint of malt and hay hops. A bit of flavor - not much but luckily not horribly unpleasant. hopscotch (11236) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - NOV 28, 2006
Draft... GBOA ’06... Clear straw-colored lager with a small, creamy, white head. Decent retention. Almost nondescript nose and flavor, but I do pick up some soapy, grainy notes with plenty of diacetyl to go around. Ultra light-bodied and fizzy. Short, crisp, clean finish. Better than Straub Premium only because it’s more watered-down and, therefore, has fewer offensive flavors and aromas.

Pours pale yellow. Aroma of mild malt, some citrus. Slight malt, hop, citrus taste, but not much. Fairly bland and uninteresting.douglas88 (9630) - Portland, Oregon, USA - DEC 28, 2010

Not as good as regular Straub, but not a drain pour either. This beer is affordable and drinkable on hot summer days. My father swears by it, but I never stock it as I prefer pales, IPAs and I2PAs.
Bottle. Listed as Ground Hog. Pours a clear copper color with a small white head. A sweet grainy and honey nose. The flavor is basically a thin decent pale lager; sweet and grainy, some light spicy hops perhaps. OK. FROTHINGSLOSH (8142) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 2, 2005
UPDATED: JUN 26, 2006 I have never encountered anything drinkable from Straub and this beer proved to be no exception. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured an extremely light pale yellow with a medium sized bleach white head. The aroma is sweet and grassy. The flavor is sour and grassy with a light sour tang and a dry finish. Not good but less offensive than their regular beer. Radek Kliber (7483) - Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), POLAND - MAY 31, 2010

Aroma grainy nose , hint of wet blanket , slight hint of DMS. Very slight hint of hops. 4-
Appearance pale golden with good sized white top. 3+
Flavor and Palate : light bodied. Slightly buttery with better cleaner finish. Just touch of hop in there.
Bottle. Pours a clear pale straw gold with a nice one finger foamy white head. The nose is mostly corn with a light crackery maltiness and minimal hoppiness. The flavor is pretty thin, watery corn with a hint of bitterness on the finish. Fairly clean on the finish though. Light bodied and watery with fizzy carbonation. Not too bad for a light beer, much better than most macro versions.
