people at cedars (youngstown, ohio) drink this like it's gold. i don't get it. tastes like a melted banana popsicle. it's cheap though - damn cheap. 1 peso = 1 straub = messy morning. bac080 (398) - Bloomington, Illinois, USA - JUN 21, 2003
6-packs come in plastic bags. What can I say, if not innovative? Well, at least it's not Bud. lipskin (38) - Youngstown, Ohio, USA - JUN 21, 2003
Reminds me of bananas for some reason. Makes your bowels a little squishy in the morning. For $1/mug at the bar it's not a bad choice. adambomb (16) - USA - JUN 20, 2003
A favorite of the Pittsburgh area. Always my choice when funds are limited. drewcifer85710 (158) - Youngstown, Ohio, USA - JUN 17, 2003
Uhh. People where I grew up seemed to hold this in high regard but I guess I just don't get it. Truly lousy, kind of metallic taste (had this on draught most recently), and 3.45 ABV means you've got to put a bunch of this down to get anywhere. On the up-side, however, bottles of this come in a DRAWSTRING PLASTIC BAG at the store. How fucking cool is THAT? The plastic bag added points to my overall impression.

UPDATED: MAY 13, 2004 Nice smooth taste, no bitter aftertaste. Also not expensive at all, between 14 and 16$ a case. Just make sure you dont leave these laying around in the sun. The beer doesnt contain preservatives or sugar so while it wont give you a hangover worth a damn, it will also go skunk on you very easily if you dont store it right. Natural, a little sweet tasting. Overall a decent beer. A Pennsylvania mainstay. Panzuriel (2256) - Westerville, Ohio, USA - MAR 9, 2003
Yellow, thin, skunky tasting and smelling. Fizzy. Bad all around flavor. Oakes (17685) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 8, 2003
Pale straw colour. Aroma of corn, with possibly some fleeting grassy hop. Sweet, watery palate. Finish of corn and water. Not awful, just empty. jeffwhalen (45) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 7, 2003
A bit of a wet blanket aroma, clear golden appearance, a smooth easy drink and nice after taste, not bad beer, quite good actually..."Beer in all its Glory" is not false advertising, abit over stated, but not false...freshness is the key, no sugar, no salt, no preservatives added. Brewed with mountain spring water which beats the hell out of the piss from Coors and the those big bad Rockies, hey the Allegheny/Appalachians might not be , well, mighty, but their water sure tastes better. And that makes for better tasting beer, huh Adolf?
