pivnizub (10768) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - JUL 19, 2007
Bottle: Cloudy, amber coloured, deep golden, rather quickly vanishing off-white head, quite strong fruity (bananas+cloves) and wheaty nose with phenolic and (necrotic) yeasty aromas; stronger sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied; a little acidity in the shorter, a bit bitter and dry-wheaty finish. Kind of unusual Weizen..........

(bottle) Hazy, deep orange to amber colour with a slightly off-white foamy head of medium size. Dusty, slightly sweet malty, moderately wheaty and fruity (apricot, citrus) aroma. Light-sweet flavour, restrained acidic; light to medium bodied, smooth, mealy carbonation. Moderately wheaty and fruity taste; medium-dry, slightly sweet, minimal-yeasty bitter finish. A kind of medioce Ur-Weizen.

Bottle, 5.3%. Sour metallic aroma. Cloudy grey/orange colour. Creamy, stable white head. OK banana flavour. The aftertaste seems a little old and smoked. OK carbonation, but thin mouthfeel for a wheat beer.

German Weißbier from a traditional brewery in his region - nice to drink - sweet

Papsoe (25059) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - NOV 20, 2005
(Bottle 50 cl) Comes as "Straubinger Weisse Bernstein" in my version. Unclear amber - but not quite "Dunkel" - with a rich head. Not overly aromatic, I don’t get the rich, fruity esters here as in the best Hefes. Dry with a subdued bitterness. 061001

jmm1 (132) - Andorra la Vella, ANDORRA - FEB 6, 2005
Dark orange body with a mushy white head. Apricot, nuts and orange aroma. Malty and doughy aroma, with the typical banana aftertaste of a weizen. Well balanced with a nice yeasty aftertaste. Pleasant in mouth and refreshing with a medium carbonation. A top weizen.

rich doughy aroma. very dark - looks more like a dunkel. quite full but with quite a firm finish

jonas (7986) - Garching b. München, GERMANY - AUG 2, 2002
Dark copper color - can be quite clear. An aroma of apples and berries and a malty sweet yet light body. All in all a round and easy drinkable beer.
