500ml Bottle - Black with a small head. Chocolate, roasted malt, liquorice, coffee and some smoky hints in the aroma. Roasted, chocolatey and malty taste with notes of liquorice and smoked malt standing out. Very tasty and an awful lot of flavour for the strength. Strömsholms have probably the best range of fölköl and lättöl in the whole of Sweden.

500ml Bottle - Black with a foamy tan head. Roasted malt, plain chocolate, coffee and some smoky hints in the aroma. Roasted, malty and chocolatey taste with notes of Bournville chocolate, coffee, roasted malt and some smoky notes. Bags of flavour for the strength. These boys seem to be really inspired by British brewers and they produce rather authentic interpretations of British styles. Excellent.
Bottle from Ica Åkered.
Dark brown to black, enormous thick beige head.
Aroma: julmust, malt, roast, hazelnuts, fruit.
Taste is nice, but slightly watery. Follows the aroma and adds sweet licorice, some chocolate and very light smoke.

App: Black with some red brown tints. Filled tho whole glass with foam, hmmm.
Aroma: Very dry and slight sourish burnt ashy and slight fruity aroma up front. Then comes some pretty nice roasty notes of dark bread and chocolate.
Taste: Also quite burnt and ashy at first, but leans more on roasty bready, chocolate and coffee notes with some smooth citrus.
Palate: Big mushy carbonation, smooth texture.
Overall: What’s up with the carbonation? A bit too ashy and hard, but otherwise really nice dark "folk beer".
Aroma: Smelling of dark bread, sour grape-fruit, cold coffee and yeast.CarlJonas (231) - Linköping, SWEDEN - JAN 19, 2014
Appearance: A dark brown colored beer. A fluffy tan head with good lacing and some curtains.
Taste: Tasting dark bread, dried dates, weak coffee and orange peel.
Palate: High carbonation, a watery texture. A small body with a slightly dry finish.
Overall: Explosive, slightly sour. Had it gone off? But not really bad.
Note: Bottle 500 ml at home. Reviewed 2014-02-26.
Vary dark brown with a big and very firm beige head that lasts for a loooong time. Mild roasted coffee aroma. The taste is, you guessed it, pretty mild as well. Medium sweet, mild roasted flavours, but more chocolate than coffee this time. Some bitterness in the aftertaste. Slightly soapy but quite smooth and rich especially considering the ABV. Definitely one of my favourite "folköl" (as we call 3.5% to approx. 2.8% ABV beers here in Sweden). hirigalzkar (3203) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - AUG 23, 2013
Bottle. Nice and drinkable porter with a small frutiness, milk, chocolate and a dry enough finish. Well made!

Pours brown with a tan head.
Sweet smooth taste of chocolate, sirup and honney. Floral.
Bottle. Clear, very dark brown/black liquid with big, fluffy light brown head. Aroma of pumpernickel, coffee, ash, fruity yeast esters, toast and light noble hops. Taste is dry and light to medium bitter with notes of pumpernickel and toast. Medium bodied (maybe on the lighter side) with medium carbonation. Pretty nice for a low ABV beer. Draught. Dark brown beer with a beige head. Vinous, spicy, malty and coffee aroma. Dark chocolate, coffee and roasted malt flavour. Rather boring beer. Pyrmir (6126) - Uppsala, SWEDEN - JUN 13, 2013
500 ml bottle. Near black with beige head. Aroma kind of sweet, roasted malt, caramel, piney and resiny. Taste has roasted notes, caramel, tar, pine and resin. Good! Svesse (8615) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - MAY 26, 2013
(Bottle, from Hemköp Marieberg, Stockholm) Dark brown colour with lasting beige head, leaving traces of lacing. Roasted, malty nose with notes of coffee, black rye bread, dark chocolate, raisins, liquorice and hints of smoke. Malty, roasted taste with coffee, roasted grain, black rye bread, liquorice, cocoa and a gentle roasty bitterness in the finish. Light body, mainly dry. Tasty and well made mild ale. Nice one.

(Draught at Oliver Twist, Stockholm, 10 Jan 2009) Dark brown colour, almost black, with ruby hints. Frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of coffee and cocoa. Roasted, malty, slightly burnt taste with liquorice, cocoa, freshly ground coffee and a nice, dry coffee bitterness in the finish. Body is on the thin side, but there’s lots of taste. Really nice beer. And how nice to see a Swedish micro making such a good effort at this very British beer style.
