4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Borrle from Systembolaget as Stronzo Påskebryg. Pours amber with a thick wheat induced foam head that never really goes away. A bit hazy but a looker. The aroma is sexy, yeast and hoppy citrus tones mixed, perhaps with some sweetness from malt in there. Lovely. Looking and smelling this beer makes you thirsty. The taste rewards you with a sweetish beer, again yeasty and citric tastes blends perfectly. The beer proves it is possible to use US and Kiwi citrussy hops without making a bitter hop bomb, why does not more brewers do that? It’s medium in body and it would have gotten another point in the overall rating if it hadn’t been for the half litre bottle, which makes no sense for a beer like this. This type of beer should be sold in 33cl bottles. Lovely.
En meget fyldig smag, med en middel humle i eftersmagen. Den har ikke den skarpe bock smag fra den oprindelige påskeøl, men den er nu en fin variant. Leighton (22327) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 24, 2015
Keg at BrewDog Shoreditch during the London Bimble. Pours clear, rich gold with a creamy white head. Lots of rich berries in here, light leafy bitterness, bread. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Tasty, but with minimal Belgian yeast character. Still, good and drinkable. Svesse (8803) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - JAN 19, 2015
(Bottle, as "Stronzo Påskebryg") Amber colour with frothy, off-white head, leaving traces of lacing. Fruity, malty nose with notes of apricots, marmalade, honey, orange peel and some spicy yeast. Malty, fruity taste with apricots, orange peel, honey, marmalade, a touch of yeast and a balanced spicy bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty and well balanced, but tastes more like a pale ale than a saison. Nice one. Palme (4824) - Bergen, NORWAY - DEC 31, 2014
On tap @ Henrik. This is a quite lovely smelling one. Looks really inviting in the glass as well with a nice orange amber colored cloudy body under a small white islandy and lacing head. Superb fruity. Lots of strawberries and peaches. Been a while since I’ve smelled a saison as fruity as this! Lovely. In the mouth this is really gliding, cloudy and it’s just below average on the carbonation. Lots of red berries. Raspberries mainly but also citrus grapefruit, some mild roasted hints, lots of nice yeast and some cantaloupe. Really refreshing in the hot Bergen sun. 19.07.2014 rouhlas (3784) - Thessaloniki, GREECE - SEP 18, 2014

On tap @ Henrik, Bergen. Pours slightly hazy golden with a small creamy head. Aroma is hoppy tropical with peaches and mango, as well as dark berries, wood and roasted malts with toffee, honey and bread. Full body with average to fizzy carbonation. Flavour is tart with fruity yeast, dark berries, brown sugar, notes of wood, some tropical hops with peaches, and roasted caramel malts. Sweet wooden finish. On tap @ Henrik, Bergen. Clear light amber body, small white head. Nose is nougat, smoke, mild raisins, pale malts and hints of citrus and straw. Taste is raisins, grains, bready malts and hints of white sugar, citrus and straw. Medium body, soft to medium carbonation. Fair enough saison on the sweet side of the spectrum, but not fantastic in any way.

Dimmig orange öl med ett stort bubbligt skum. Doft av tropiska frukter, honung och noter av bröddeg. Smakar mer som en välhumlad ljus belgisk ale än en saison. God ändå. spacecube (1771) - Leeds, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - MAY 12, 2014
On tap at Bdog Leeds. Aroma is pretty malty, quite US style caramel malt with piney hop and Belgian spice in the background. Finish is balanced. This is a good, easy to drink, strong beer, and was not what was expected. Karstenborg (1145) - Hasselager, DENMARK - MAY 10, 2014
Amber and golden color with thick white head. Aroma is caramel, citrus and syrup. Taste is medium sourness with notes of caremel and brown sugar.
