hackobock (4029) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - DEC 30, 2013
Bottle from Systembolaget, 2013 version. Pours black with a small tan head. Lots of coffee in the nose, dark roasted malt, chocolate, honey, alcohol. Taste is sweet honey, coffee notes and light bitter chocolate some alcohol warmth in the finish but the alcohol is well hidden being 17,5%. Sticky moiuthfeel. sunevdj (4087) - Copenhagen OE, DENMARK - DEC 29, 2013
Sample at @ Copenhagen Beerfestival 2013. Pours black with a small off-white ehad. Very sweet with some bittereness. Loads of coffee aromas with hintes of dates and toffee. Full bodied. with an oily mouthfeel. Tastes like cld coffee with loads of sugar. A bit too much. fiulijn (20515) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 21, 2013

Pitch black color with medium sized brownish head, not very persistent. The aroma is peppery and pungent, this is a quality; but the coffee, strong, reminds a bit the coffee grounds, not completely exciting; roasted malt too of course; hint of aniseed and elderflower. Full bodied; strong flavor of roasted malt and coffee; but the rather important sweetness and strong alcohol presence help to keep this fragile balance; the coffee in the final is a bit more elegant than in the nose.
I’m not sure this is the kind of elephant-in-a-china-shop I want, but it’s pretty good sipper anyway.
I think of a coffee chocolate truffle.
@Basunen: tydlig doft av kaffe. Smaken är likaså. Stor kaffe, sött, socker men ack så gott ;)

On tap @sbwf13. Midnight black with thick and lasting tan head. Aroma is powerful and massive; LOADS of coffee, roasted malt, burnt notes, vinous notes and alcohol. Taste with enormous coffee notes, roasted malt, thick viscous oily roasted notes, alcohol, light acidity. Alcohol surprisingly well hidden

Pours black with low tan head. Aroma of coffee and tar, maybe some very dark chocolate, and whisky barrels (peats). Taste is coffee and cream, some chocolate, then a coffee bitter finish with peats and wood chips. Body is creamy and thick. Quite alcohol warming.

Bottle. High creamy and lasting off-white head. Pitch black body. The aroma is of course of coffee but the malt, with creamy notes, and caramel, can also be spotted. No sign of the alcohol. Flavor was first and foremost of coffee but again the roasted malt and caramel could be spotted. Still quite creamy without the expected bitterness. Alcohol could be spotted but was not dominant. Low carbonation. Long sweet finish. Yummy. SaintMatty (7364) - Uppsala, SWEDEN - NOV 29, 2013
Bottle - Black in colour. Coffee dominates in the aroma, along with notes of liquorice and plain chocolate. Coffee also dominates in the taste. Pretty much like an alcoholic coffee! Christian (13670) - Odense, DENMARK - NOV 21, 2013
At Copenhagen Beer Festival, May 2013. Black with a lasting tan head. Roasted malty aroma with coffee. Very sweet, sugary and malty flavour with coffee Nisse666 (7427) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - NOV 3, 2013

AR: heavy in fresh coffey - espresso, a new trend drinking very fresh Imp stouts instead of having the morning weekend coffey started?
AP: dark brown body, wee frothy dark brown head
F: rocky sugar, heavy coffey - espresso, warming feeling
