Belgian Barley Wine, aged in a single scottish whisky barrel with wood chips from old sherry casks. Only 620 bottles total. Not all beers are as fortunate as this one. Normally a beer will be brewed, bottled, shipped, bought and then drunk. Not necesarily a long lifespan. But this belgian style barleywine was lucky. Is was the chosen one. Specificaly selected for a priviliged life, it was moved to an oak barrel and was able to hide there for seven months. Nobody would disturbe it as it reveled in its luck. Now though, it has been bottled and bought, but it has had the time to get ready to be drunk by you.

0.33 l bottle (brewed by Raekker Molle), thanks hanniku! Hazy dark brown color. Sweet warming aroma with tart alcohol, oaky whiskey, raspberry, nuts. Sweet, tart and warming taste with plenty of oak and vanilla, toffee, nuts and yeasty soya sauce type flavors. Quite boozy and oaky, feels even stronger than 10 %.

Zita (6331) - Assentoft, DENMARK - APR 6, 2013
light whisky aroma, brown, off white foam, light sweetness, lightly bitter, medium body, creamy, soft carbonation, bitter, long finish,

Papsoe (25056) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAR 22, 2013
Bottle 33 cl. Pours a hazy amber with a creamy, beige head. Sweet burned caramel nose, a whiff of wood and also a discreet but fleeing note of phenols. Very rich and potent body, a little cherry, massive, massive woodiness - bordering a little much, yet I still very much enjoy it. Rather hot finish. Good one though! 220313

Poured from a bottle, thanks to Craig. A pleasant coffee and toffee character. I am overwhelmed with hot alcohol notes, nail polish. Dry finish.
