Clear medium orange yellow colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted - caramel, light to moderate hoppy, light alcohol. Flavour is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration, vintage malt, alcohol. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat.

Bottled, from Systembolaget. Hazy orange/amber, minimal head. Aroma of ripe fruit, butter, bitter orange peels and hay. Fairly sweet rounded mouthfeel. Crystal malt, honey and hay. Mid bitter finish. A mildly warming ale with a rich array of subtle flavours.

Tasting at ChrisOs. Hazy gold beer, little white head. Light palate, semi dry and softish. Sweetish creamy malt, mild minerals. A little citrus underneath provides balance. Light dry finish.

Bottle at the ChrisO Flags of Many Nations Easter Tasting - London. One from L-Dawg. Pours clear gold with a fine, white cream cap. Rich, dry and lightly toasted malt aroma, with hints of toasted hay. Medium to big sweet flavor with some toasty bread, straw, faint honey and mild, ripe apple. Medium to full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sweet finish with sugary bread, lightly dry bitter hay and mellow caramel. Not bad but very basic. Still, a decent ESA. Clear golden amber with a thin white head that clears edgeward and purveys a fim atop the beer.
Nose carries dark malt, light booze, apple pie, sugars, toffee.
Taste comprises lightly soured fruit, pear, apple, sugars, dark malts, caramel.
Medium bodied with fine carbonation, bitterness in the finish.
Not a bad drop - surprised this didn’t put up more of a fight with the average Belgians on show !!!
