Would argue this is more Belgian pale ale than Belgian IPA. Spirited deep copper pour with long lasting head. Taste is Belgian fruits and spices over a solid pale ale base. What I'm missing are hops and bitterness in the flavor, as would be expected from an IPA -- little of the former and next to none of the latter. Overall, good and solid, but misnamed.

750 c&c from the Arden BevMo in Sacramento, CA as "IPA". Pours copper with a slight foamy, but ring lacing, head. Aroma is somewhat "fruits de bois". Floral and lightly berry. Med body. Flavor is a touch of Flandres rouge over some floral bitter with mild roast malt. Seems to have a bit of red berry. It turns almost oakily astringent. IPA? More likely Belgian Strong Ale. Whatever, it’s a pretty tasty beer. The Belgians make so many. Sigh. kraddel (8727) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - MAR 5, 2014

Bottle from BevMo, Arden. Pours amber with a rich foamy beige head and a citrus aroma. There is a robust caramel malt flavor with a nice Belgian yeast presence and a very bitter finish. This is truly a Belgian-style IPA. and is quite different from IPAs from the U.S. Nevertheless, tasty and refreshing. BlackEyePA (573) - USA - AUG 5, 2012
Good stuff. Different stylistically, the grain is more biscuit buttery with med malt mouthfeel. The hops are correctly used and taste good, smell is not much there. The Belgo yeast is softer and a little wild slight sour tinge to taste. Good stuff

Cloudy Brownish orange, with a huge beige head. Grassy, lightly fruity aroma. Maybe a little winey, as well. Taste is crisp, fruity, some banana, and a assertive hoppy finish. I liked this quite a bit. Fatehunter (2603) - Corbett, Oregon, USA - JAN 17, 2013
A finger and half of head on a cloudy, apricot colored body.
The aroma is walnut, orange and lemon. The walnut is an interesting note, but it fits.
The taste is moderately bitter, orange sweet in the middle, then sour at the end. The profile seems disjointed but it’s unique.
Crisp texture, moderate carbonation and medium body.
A good and worthy IPA . StefanSD (2451) - Ouray, Colorado, USA - JUN 18, 2012
750 ml bottle from Bevmo. Pours murky, dirty, old penny copper color witha huge white head that has great retention and oodles of lacing. The aroma is somewhat mild with Belgian type yeasts, apricots, spicy pine and marmalade. The taste is similar to the nose with spicy apricots, a hint of pine and semi sweet fruity Belgian yeasts. The palate is full and creamy with soft carbonation. The finish is medium in duration and dry. Overall: Not what you’d call a modern IPA, but very enjoyable, this is a fine beer that I’d drink again. nearbeer (5557) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - AUG 18, 2012
750 ml, aliased US version. Opaque, dark caramel color with a lasting quarter inch of meringue. Aroma is a nice blend of toffee, evergreen resin, toasted wheat bread, and a dash of lemon zest. First taste is big resin, clove, pear and lemony-salty bread yeast. Some better supporting flavors of caramel and musty white grape appear shortly. Peppery finish of lemon zest and rye. Also some hints of bubblegum and wheat. Medium body has too much carbonation, but is well balanced. Ratman197 (15208) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - SEP 9, 2012
750 ml corked and caged bottle poured a hazy gold with a lasting creamy amber head. Aromas of biscuit, orange zest, light grapefruit, apples and light yeast. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of biscuit, apple, orange and yeast wth a crisp lingering fruit finish.
