Bottle. Dark brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is vinegar, sugar, malty, dark fruits. Flavor is moderate sweet and acidic, vinegar with a long duration, refreshing. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (310807) yespr (45508) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - JUL 9, 2007
From 75 cL bottle. Pours hazy brown with no head. Earthy sour with dark sugarish malt note. Slight chemical/paint aroma. Very low carbonated. Lovely sour/estheric flavour while still having a nice sweet note. Very dry however. Ungstrup (37667) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - FEB 6, 2008
Drunk to celebrate my rating number 9900. A dark red beer with a thin brown head. The aroma has sweet berry notes combined with acidic notes of brettanomyces, and wood. The flavor is lovely acidic with an underlying sweetness - and it is very complex with notes of berries, wood, brettanomyces, prunes, grapefruit, and mold. The acidity lingers on the palate and back of the tongue. Nice one. Thanks Carlo for this bottle. joergen (28170) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - FEB 7, 2007

Bottled (Thanks Diabel!). Dark amberish ruby colour, small off-white head. Aroma is big sourness. Flavour is sour dark fruits, earth, plum and raisins. Very sour fruits in the aftertaste. Nicely done! omhper (25154) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - JUL 3, 2007
UPDATED: MAY 16, 2008 Bottled. Cloudy mahogany colour, minimal airy head.Acidic black currant aroma. Sweet rounded malt accompanied my vinegary acidity. Surpisingly light bodied with notes of wood and raspberries. The heavy citric acidity creates a burning sensation in the finish which is somewhat detracting. (Bottle 75 cl) Courtesy of Grovlam. Pours a clear, beautiful ruby red colour with a small, rough, beige head. Fantastic tart aroma of wood and dried fruit - extremely vinous. Medium in body and almost flat. Flavours are again raisins, wood and grapes, lots of sourness and a metallic edge. Underneath the sourness lurks a very distinct sweetness. This is one fantastic sipper. Extremely delicious. 080707 Travlr (24897) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - DEC 21, 2009
UPDATED: MAR 19, 2010 Generous sample poured by Urbain from the barrel at the smaller brewery in Oost Vleteren.
Almost completely black, lively tan head that settles quickly and leaves scant lacing.
Aroma of malt vinegar and old wine.
Flavor starts with port wine and progresses to a rick sourness and very high acidity. A unique brew, something to be sought after.
Prune version, tasted after just one week in the bottle. Has prunes obviously, port wine, red wine vinegar. Subtle and complex. Would love to see it mature. madmitch76 (24807) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JUL 21, 2010
6th March 2010. Clear dark brown beer. Semi dry crisp palate. Can never drink this without thinking off Duchesse Du Bourgogne. But here the sourness is a little sharper and it also has a more medicinal note.
