The Aardnon is a blend in barrel of 30% Aardmonnik and 70% Pannepot Reserva (Chteau Margaux oak barrel aged).

Bottle. A dark amber beer with a tan head. The aroma has notes of caramel, malt, alcohol, roasted malt, and a bit of brett. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, caramel, alcohol, brett, fruit, and wood, leading to a dry finish.

2009 bottle. Deep dark brown color. Caramel, a hint of roast and malt syrup in the vinous aroma. Malty sweet, moderately sour, vinous flavor. Red wine, remains of roast and licorice. Amazing complexity. Low on carbon. Worth the sky-high price tag.

Sample from 33 cl bottle. Near black with a thin, tanned head. Tart, fruity aroma with rich dark fruits, wooden notes, soft. Taste is sour. Medium bodied. Lasting dry, fruity finish with red Wine barrel and vineuos notes. World class.
