Bottle: Poured a hazy deep reddish color ale with a large off-white foamy head with good retention and good lacing. Aroma of cherry and oak is quiet interesting with a great balance between sweetness and tart notes. Taste is also a very nice mix between some tart cherries with some balance sweetness with a solid malt backbone. Body is fuller then average with good carbonation and no alcohol was perceptible. Very well done overall and better then I would have expected. deyholla (11481) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JUN 13, 2010
Bottle thanks to Dan! Poured pinkish red with a really small white head that is pretty much a film around the edges from the start. Aroma was had notes of both sweet and tart cherries with a bit of a leafy/woodsy undertone. Flavor began a bit sweet and grew in tartness quickly. Fløska. More tartness in the aroma than cherries with some yeast, nice. Good mouthfeel. Pleasant lingering fruity tart cherry flavour, soft bit mild.
