Ticked this at a fest a while back, but I was too far gone to give it a proper rate. Taster at Aces and Ales. Pours deep dark brown with haldly any medium brown head. Aroma is dark chocolate and blackberry, a touch of strawberrry too. This is a nice dark, chocolatey base with a bit of coffee and a hint of fruit - raspberry, blackberry, dark cherry. Really nice and smooth, hides the abv well. kathouse (1942) - LAS VEGAS, Nevada, USA - AUG 11, 2014
Light brown foam rests on the blackness. Berry aromas meld with chocolate and coffee. Dry roasted malts have a touch of fruit tartness. Light carbonation but full mouthful. Finish is dry with hints of berry and birthday cake. Yay! TET (3282) - Kaarina, FINLAND - AUG 9, 2014
Vintage 2012, 0.75 L bottle. A black beer with a small but beautiful and brown head. The nose is great, fresh and intensive. Liquirice, fresh strawberries and raspberries, some black coffee and salt liquirice, touch of vanilla and hint of strenght of alcohol. Taste has strong liquirice, mild roastiness, great strawberries, some herbs, enough of biterness even it’s not taste, aftertaste is warming. Full bodied, low carbonation, pleasant and smooth to drink. The great beer, smooth and intensive with fresh berries. Beerconnaiseur (166) - BELGIUM - JUL 13, 2014
UPDATED: AUG 7, 2014 75cl bottle transported 8500km from Bavikhove city to Thailand and consumed at a swimming pool looking out at the sea on Koh Samui (enough carrying around! ffs). Ofcourse this added to the dramA-roma people... Why not? A narrative created by the taster is as equal as the story invented by the brewer, no?
This is a gem beer that never disappoints. It pours tar black with a small foamhead. Sweet berry scent and bold roasty taste combined, this BBA is full bodied and has a beautiful lacing. Taste : malty fruits, slight hints of fruits, berries, framboise and slight soury aftertaste intertwined with the dark stark imperial stout body. Yum! daje (4548) - NORWAY - JUN 30, 2014

Bottle... This beer rocks!… Pours new moon-black with a mid-sized, creamy, cappuccino head. Great retention. The bouquet is a spectacular collection of dark berries and dark chocolate with a splash of vinous, medium-dry sherry. Full-bodied with a fatty mouthfeel and tingly carbonation. The flavor is a mélange of burnt malts, dark berries, barely-sweetened fudge and a nice SweeTart component. Finishes roasty, bitter and chocolaty with a liberal ration of warm, boozy alcohol. Thanks so much to darkguardian for delivering this intriguing, world class delight! Christian (13930) - Odense, DENMARK - MAY 21, 2014
