On tap @ Antwaerpse Bierhuyske. Pours black with a black head. Unsuprisingly the aroma is tart black berries. Tastes of molasses and burnt caramel with a dry fruity finish

Had this beer on draft @ Antwaerps Bierhuyske; Appearance: well , its black damnation, of course its cloudy black with a minimal head. Coffee scent with a touch of caramel. Heavy sweet taste with hints of caramel. Sticky as usual. Overall I like this beer a lot, Thx to Kraddel for my second glas :) Too bad you cant get it everywhere :D

750mL shared at Woodshop 8. Pours a murky deep brown with red highlights. Nose is rich blackberry, chocolate cake. Taste is ashy, soil, bitter earth, mild blackberry tanginess. Palate is a bit too ashy.

UPDATED: DEC 5, 2015 On tap at brewery into snifter. Oostvleteren. Appearance: black liquid tan head. very long retention Aroma: Berry is most present. Chocolate. coffee spicy. Taste: sweet and bitter. Palate thick and velvety. Coats your whole mouth. OverAll: delicious beer. Intensely strong. A little bit heavy on the berry. I wonder if it would become more balanced over time.

Bottle shared at the Steasy66 tasting at Craft Islington. Opaque black with an off white head. Nose has lots going on, as one would epxect. Rich chocolate, black coffee, musky cereal grain, little bit of roasted malt. Taste is very very rich. Sweet chocolate, cocoa, cocoa nibs, and then blackberry fruit. Very rich and sweet and insanely rich with some earthy blackberry and pure dark chocolate.

19/10/2013 Eurhop (tap). Nera, impenetrabile, schiuma quasi assente. Al naso sentori di malti tostati, ossidazione, frutta matura, curiosa. In bocca un po pasticciata, cioccolata, frutta rossa, leggero acidulo, liquoroso, alcol. Corpo pieno, carbonazione soft. Apprezzabile il tentativo, ma il risultato non proprio ottimale. Mi aspettavo molto di pi.

Probably the most beautiful beer Ive ever seen, what a brilliant head.Aromas are powerful: chocolate, coffee and blackberry. Taste is very interesting: fruity, roasty and rich. Excellent brew.

75cl bottle shared at Strasy66 tasting, CBC Islington. What a great beer for my 1500th rating! It pours a pitch black body with a large mocha head. Aroma is big and bold on roasted notes. Lots of wood, roasted malts, chocolate, coffee and vanilla. Some tart notes from the berries too. Taste is beautiful and balanced, with big bold roasted and chocolatey notes sort ounces by a smooth vanilla and port wine silkiness. Berry tartness in the finish to help the drinkability of this beast. Thick and creamy mouthfeel with good carbonation. Great beer.
