Draught at SBWF! Very black with rich beige creamy head. Aroma of licorice and port. Mid sweet with full body. Lots of licorice, berry flavour is subtle. Slight resiny and plenty of tar in a really bitter finish. More mellow than the regular Albert.

Travlr (24880) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - JUL 26, 2013
Draft at Churchkey. Extremely black color, dark brown head. Aroma of fruity coffee, like a brightly roasted Ethiopian coffee bean. Taste is smooth, with a nice combination of fruitiness and roastiness. Not as complex as others in the series, but still tasty.

Borefts Beer Festival 5. Day 2. Opaque black beer with a big pale tan head. Palate is soft and slightly airy and semi dry. Rich and dry dark malt with a touch of roast. Little dark malt cream. Mild lactose. Just a whisper of blackberry. Dry finish with some alcohol spice. Good but I was expecting so much more.
