COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Black Damnation series is a dark twist of Urban’s mind. His idea is to realize a dozen beers with the use of Black Albert, and over a period of two years, that are as black as hell, filthy rich in the nose and with a massive taste.

Black Damnation II is yet another blend with the use of Hel & Verdoemenis from Brouwerij De Molen. This time a level more complex than BD I. 50% of Black Albert was used that matured for a while on whole coffee beans out of a craft Columbian coffee plantation. 25% of H&V was used that aged for 6 months on JD barrels at Struise. Another 25% of Cuvée Delphine was used.

Beware: labels are the same, taste however isn’t. Some bottles are recognizable because of he handwritten 2 on them.

Marduk (8622) - Reval, ESTONIA - NOV 25, 2016
330ml bottle (thanks FatPhil). Very dark brown almost black color. Medium size, brown head, stays. Alcohol, roast, very dark chocolate, herbal and very faint coffee in aroma. Sweet, sugary, coffee, chocolate cake, milky in taste. Sweet milk chocolate in aftertaste. Soft roasty bitterness. Alcohol is kind of covered. Feels bit dead. But solid brew.

Bottle shared at deanso’s. Thick black pour with a tan head with poor retention. Notes of dried fruit, cocoa, chocolate and sherry. Nice mouthfeel. Full body, low carbonation, bitter-sweet finish. I had tried this 3 years ago, it wasn’t this good.

Bottle shared. Black with short lasting light brown head. Lots of chocolate, soft coffee, cognac, some cognac, some dried cherries, black berries, Porto wine, fudge. Quite fruity with lots of chocolate, and also light dusty. Over medium sweet and medium bitter. Full bodied with slick feel and low carbonation.

# 2000 rate. 750ml bottle 2012 Vintage, at home, with the Beast at the Big Bottle Event, 11th November 16. Pours black as oil, slight head. Aroma is pleasant, liquorice, dark chocolate, liquor, coffee. Taste is really well integrated, coffee, liquor, barrel, chocolate, sweetens as it warms, preferred it cooler. Lovely

Zwart als de nacht. Dik stroperig olieachtig bier met volle textuur. Koffie, cacao, leer, tabak. Licht zoetig met een subtiel bittertje. Zware jongen die je het best met kleine nipjes kunt drinken. Genietersbier.

DuffMan (10751) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - AUG 24, 2016
Bottle, shared at RBAG by dfearnley. Very dark brown, almost black. Rich mocha and cream, spicy undertones, fruit acids in the finish. The spicy nuances are amplified as the beer warms. Terrific.

Thick black stuff, tan edges. Mocha aroma, slight weirdness but a decent coffee flavour and a bit of Belgian yeast flavour.

Bottle - Dark almost soured roast. Jet black with a rich light brown head. Dark roast and sweet, very light mocha and a touch of that sourness. Although not what expected, nice.
