The Black Damnation series is a dark twist of Urban’s mind. His idea is to realize a dozen beers with the use of Black Albert, and over a period of two years, that are as black as hell, filthy rich in the nose and with a massive taste.

Black Damnation II is yet another blend with the use of Hel & Verdoemenis from Brouwerij De Molen. This time a level more complex than BD I. 50% of Black Albert was used that matured for a while on whole coffee beans out of a craft Columbian coffee plantation. 25% of H&V was used that aged for 6 months on JD barrels at Struise. Another 25% of Cuvée Delphine was used.

Beware: labels are the same, taste however isn’t. Some bottles are recognizable because of he handwritten 2 on them.

from la Mise en Bière - hazy black beer with no foam left; roasted aroma with notes of mocha, chestnuts and molasses; full-bodied and with a solid sweetness, quite sticky, fairly bitter and a long roasted coffeish and spicy finish; long notes of molasses, black chocolate and black cherries, some residual sweetness, warming alcohol and woody notes . impressive

Many thanks for this rare beer to tderoeck. Piekny zapach intensywny jagody w kawie takie skojarzenie na poczatku. Wyglad to czarne jak tunele w kopalni wegla bez jakichkolwiek przeswitow. Piana jakby 2 fazowa 2 barwna spora potem szybko sie zmniejsza polowa jej ciemno brazowa, a warstwa goran sino fioletowa. Kilkanascie procent zupelnie niewyczuwalne. Wspaniale pasowalo do slonego sera owczego Pecorino Romano.

Mighty good! Roasted and heavy malt presence. Hop bitterness on the finish with coffee and chocolate laced throughout. Great stuff. Very black and heavy.

Bottle from Bierkompass!
Pours deep black with a small brown head. Aroma is very earthy malty, with lots of coffee. Taste has earthy malts, brown sugar and coffee. Finish has some yeast, strong coffee notes as well as strong burnt roasted malts!

Backlog, ocena przepisana z untappd, w ramach uzupełniania profilu na ratebeer. Dzikie, czekoladowe, nieco zbyt jednowymiarowo słodkie. Świetna kawa.

Cocoa bomb describes it well. Super milky and tasty. Black pour from 22oz bottle at home.. Coconut and fig I think.

330ml bottle (?, ?) BB2015/
Kinda beany aroma, some burnt cabbage, bit of coffee, other roasty things.. Black, small tan head. Sweet smooth palate. Sweet sugary taste too. Erm, this one hasn’t aged particularly well, the sugar hasn’t subsided at all. Fairly drinkable though, but nothing to get excited by.Wish I’d traded this...
