The Black Damnation series is a dark twist of Urbans mind. His idea is to realize a dozen beers with the use of Black Albert, and over a period of two years, that are as black as hell, filthy rich in the nose and with a massive taste.

Black Damnation III was made with Black Albert that aged for 3 months on Paul Melias (Mes) favorite Whisky, the "Caol Ilas Distillers Version 1995".

No head, deep brown. Whisky, smoke, oak, light boozy notes. One of the longest finished I have come across. Tail end: tobacco, oak. ---Rated via Beer Buddy App

Bottle with big thanks to Christos. Medium scale gusher. Black with tan head. Aroma is slightly smokey, vinegary, whisky. Taste of ashy smokey whisky with some vinegary notes and licorice. Tangy. Not sure if its as intended but interesting and decent

Bomber shared by Eric, thanks! Gushed a bit on opening. Pours black coffee with a brown head. Aroma is chocolate, coffee, acetic, cherry. Flavor follows nose. Slight sour cherry probably not intended. Metallic finish. Still, not too shabby.

On tap at RIBCO, pours pitch black, much like the others with a thin light brown head, the aroma is pretty roasty with a lot of dark malt and chocolate, the flavor has a heavy chocolate front end with a lot of roast in the finish, mouthfeel is a tad thinner than I was expecting, booze is still pretty evident, meh.

On tap at Sergio's World Beer. The pour is jet black, oily, with no head to be found and no lace. The aroma is heavy on dark fruits and a beautiful light maltiness. The light roast carries through from start to finish. The flavor is much of the same. There is a sweetness to it, followed by the light fruitiness and then it fades out to a nice roast. The mouth feel is extraordinarily thin. There is minimal carbonation and a lingering fruity maltiness going on. Started out well, but disappointing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: NOV 16, 2014 Bottle care of Harrisoni. Im not sure how old this bottle is. Pours opaque very dark brown to black, thin tan brown head. Nose is a black sugar, alcohol, yeast extract, little salty, prunes, figs, little bit of oxidisation, damp basement, dark chocolate. Taste is a little on the oxidised and damp cellar side of things with heavy alcohol, yeast extract, prunes, raisins, bit of coffee grounds. Potent alcohol. Some bitter roasted and hints of bitter hop maybe, some alpha acids. Its improving as it warms up. Hint of slight vegetal in there too.
