Silky black. Nose presents a deep fragrance of chocolate cake and mocha, with a touch of peat. Drinks like a more mature Black Albert, with just light traces of peat and barrel. Insane richness. Decadent silky dark malt goodness, super chocolaty, roast, sweet dark fruit. Finish lasts for minutes, initially dominated by fudge and then black licorice. Will only get better with age.

Taste is rich, chocolatey, fruity, cocoa. Mild smoke in aftertaste. Well balanced and very well covered alcohol. Full body, soft carbo. 750ml brown bottle that crushed my sobriety at RBAG 2017. Deathy black pour, oily, coated the glass with it’s evil deliciousness. The pour was from the lower part of the bottle, a lot of cloudiness. Head holds itself to a thin beige ring of foam. The nose is winy, roasty, grapes. The taste - chocolate malt, roasted malt, wood, caramel, toasty. Some alcohol. Big, big, big. This was delightful. Full body, oily texture, nearly flat carbonation.
