COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Black Damnation series is a dark twist of Urbans mind. His idea is to realize a dozen beers with the use of Black Albert, and over a period of two years, that are as black as hell, filthy rich in the nose and with a massive taste.

Black Damnation III was made with Black Albert that aged for 3 months on Paul Melias (Mes) favorite Whisky, the "Caol Ilas Distillers Version 1995".

Draft. Poured a black color with an average frothy brown head that lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy toasted chocolate and alcohol aroma. Medium to heavy bittersweet woody malt flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet and small alcohol bite finish of moderate to long duration. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. This is a standout beer.

The taste is roasty, coffee, toffee, toast, charcoal, whisky, warming alcohol, chocolate and medicinal notes with a dry, roasty finish. Full body, fine carbonation and oily mouth-feel. Rich and indulgent. Good depth, yet still rather drinkable.

Bottle, bought @ the Struise Beershop.
Pours is entirely, completely black. Really firm, creamy, cappucino head. Great looks for a stout. Aroma is sweetish, there is clear vanilla, roasted, dark chocolate, oak. Light tartness, blackberries, a hint of whiskey and port. A bit of figs and plums. Lovely, complex. Lowish carbonation, wonderful creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is really fabulous as well. Roasted malts, wood, dry, chocolate, some slight grainy cappucino coffee sweetness. Magnificiently balanced, almost no hint of the 13 %. Good choice of cask, my good Mes! Impressive!
