COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Black Damnation series is a dark twist of Urbans mind. His idea is to realize a dozen beers with the use of Black Albert, and over a period of two years, that are as black as hell, filthy rich in the nose and with a massive taste.

Black Damnation IV was made with Black Albert that aged for 6 months on very old rum barrels.

Original version, 33 cl bottle. Pitch black color with brown head. Aroma has slightly tart dried fruits like figs and raisins and some cognac type notes. Taste is also slightly acidic, quite dry but fruity and complex. Blueberries, chocolate and some wood. Really smooth mouthfeel, soft carbonation. This beer really aged gracefully, complex, no alcohol burn, really smooth on the palate.

Bottle, silk screened, shared @ Brouwcaf de Molen. Gusher!! Pours a very deep dark brown, reddish beer with a big tanned head on top. Aroma is slightly tart, molasses and loads of coffee with wood. Also some chocolate notes detected. Flavor is sweet and tarty at the same time, must be the infected batch I guess. Not really disturbing, but defintely noticeable in the palate. The coffee manages to overpower some of it though. Aftertaste is again a bit tart by the infection. Just good.

Pours a nice black. Coffee/chocolate and little tobacco aroma. Flavor is awesome, rich and smooth, like roasted espresso loaded with dark bitter chocolate and kinda sweet. The alcohol is well hidden among the massive flavors.

750 ml bottle, 2012 vintage, lot BDS0042012 with a best by date of 30/09/2018. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about a couple inch tan head that stuck around a long time. The bottle was a slow gusher when I opened it, good thing I had the glass ready to pour in! Aroma is nice, the brew smells like dark fruit, bittersweet chocolate, roasted malt, oak, coffee, caramel and some tobacco. I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some molasses, tart dark fruit and a bit of vanilla. Mouthfeel/body is full, its creamy with a good amount of carbonation. For a beer thats 13% ABV, the alcohol is well hidden. I thought this was a pretty good stout, I liked it a lot!
