Silky black. Pillowy light tan foam. Potent aromas of strawberry jam, grape, chocolate and espresso. Uncommon richness, length and texture. Begins very sweet, but dries out into the finish. Excellent flavor intensity. Milk chocolate, red ripe fruit, espresso. Finish is very long lasting. Minutes after swallowing, you still taste the coffee. My third bottle. Really like this beer and it’s super young now, it should only get better. Struise beers are the best Belgians to age.

Sourness, toffee, sourness, berries, slight hints of sour coffee beans in the taste. Caramelly, sour finish. Original version, 33 cl bottle. Pitch black color with brown head. Aroma has slightly tart dried fruits like figs and raisins and some cognac type notes. Taste is also slightly acidic, quite dry but fruity and complex. Blueberries, chocolate and some wood. Really smooth mouthfeel, soft carbonation. This beer really aged gracefully, complex, no alcohol burn, really smooth on the palate.

Bottle, silk screened, shared @ Brouwcafé de Molen. Gusher!! Pours a very deep dark brown, reddish beer with a big tanned head on top. Aroma is slightly tart, molasses and loads of coffee with wood. Also some chocolate notes detected. Flavor is sweet and tarty at the same time, must be the infected batch I guess. Not really disturbing, but defintely noticeable in the palate. Pours a nice black. Coffee/chocolate and little tobacco aroma. Flavor is awesome, rich and smooth, like roasted espresso loaded with dark bitter chocolate and kinda sweet. The alcohol is well hidden among the massive flavors.
