Bottle. Jet black color with a dark tan head that dissipates quickly. Aroma carries burnt roasted malts, lots of coffee, some sweet dark fruits, kiss of booze, but not really picking out the rum. While the rum treatment doesn’t come through in the aroma, it certainly slides into the taste. Definite coffee presence, but not harsh. Quite well-rounded with a touch of sweetness, but still lots of savory characteristics that dominate. Slick, oily, and a little thick in the body that leaves a dry palate from the roast and warming on the back of the throat. This is definitely a big brew. Bottle shared at a BA/RB tasting [huge thanks to BelgBeerGeek for sending this bottle our way]... Poured black with a tan head. Lots of coffee here, more than the first three. A little too hot and unbalanced with the coffee and alcohol warmth. Molassess, chocolate, whiskey and oak flavors. pantanap (3366) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 4, 2010
Struise black damnation coffee club. 33cl bottle at delirium cafe,
brussels... Pours a slick thin black pour with lighter reddish edges
and a silky light khaki head... Aroma of anise and chocolate with a
pretty mild roast, fairly noticeable and more subtle than i would have
thought. Sweet Belgian sugars added.. Sweeter chocolate and anise with
some added candied sugar as well as a dark fruitiness to give a confectionary sugary aspect to it.
Coffee plays a subordinate role but does poke its head at the
beginnind and during mid-palate. Soft carbonation and smooth light
silky mouthfeel. Sweeter residual sugar towards the end and finishes
with a touch of a coffee earthy bitterness.

Bottled, thanks Baggio! Very black, small beige head. Evident coffee aroma. Mid dry, more slimmed and vinous than expected, but huge on espresso. Also the bitterness is milder than expected. A potent winter wamer that remains drinkable. Well done! jfb (6574) - GERMANY - MAR 8, 2010
(draught) pours the darkest brown colour with a creamy brown head. aroma of grass and herbal hops, brown sugar, light toasted malts and coffee. flavour is again quite earthy and grassy, with strong notes of brown sugar, alcohol is very well-hidden. strong, full-bodied with smooth carbonation. joergen (28974) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAR 8, 2010

Had this at Pre ZBF March 5th 2010, cheers Ian. Some camp coffee on nose and in the mouth, suggestion of chicory then maybe? Some sour coffee, a streaky bitterness, actually quite sweet and sour, good stuff. A7 A4 F8 P4 Ov15 3.8 RCL (2030) - Waltham, Massachusetts, USA - MAY 17, 2010
Massive coffee aroma with just a hint of vanilla and a little woody-ness. Flavor is light-medium sweet chocolate cover espresso beans with a light astringency on the finish.
