Sampled at ACBF 2017, Vichte. Dark brown pour with a tan head. Notes of ardbeg, peat, dried fruit. A bit too much barrel and not enough of the base beer in this one.

huineman (684) - Madrid, SPAIN - MAY 8, 2016
On tap at De Struise brewery, Oostvleteren. Pours very dark brown, almost black. Sienna-hued head vanishes in a blink. Aroma is leather, petrol, coal, squid ink, espresso coffee and burnt caramel. Mouth feels soft, dense, thick and oily. Taste starts sweetish, has a well-balanced presence of umami and sour flavours and ends in a very bitter, very long finish with lots of coffee.

Nadal klasa.

On tap at the brewery. Pitch black. Light brown head. Leather, smoke and all the smells of bourbon. Leathery, smoky beginning. Burnt caramel, bread, dark fruits, bourbon. Very complex. Heavy bodied, low carbonated, absolutely phenomenal beer with suffisticated palate. So, so nice. Puts a smile on your face.

Draft @ Het Schooltje courtesy of Carlo. Shared with the UnPer100 crew.

Cheers Urbain for this amazing Damnation tasting.

Keg at the school, Oostvleteren, 21/11/15. Black with a dirty tan covering that retains well. Nose is big on peated malts, spice, charr, dark chocolate, dark fruits. Taste comprises rich malt, chocolate pudding, light smoke, peated tones, Ardbeg coming through well, light spice. Full bodied, fine carbonation, warming alcohol in the close. Solid peated impy, well integrated and not too overwhelming.

Taste: sweet, lots of chocolate, little bitter, very peated, nice roast, dried fruits, dark chocolate. Aftertaste: bitter touch, peated, lots of dark chocolate, coffee, cocoa powder, more peat.

Keg at the school, Oostvleteren, as ’Black Ardbeg’. Black with a compact foamy brown head. Aroma is peaty, medicinal, saline, iodine. Body is medium, smooth, low carbonation. Taste is smokey chocolate, medicinal whisky, peaty but really well balanced. Excellent. Very drinkable for such a big imperial stout.

Urbain shared BD 5, 6, 9, 10 next to each other. Shit man! Pour is jet black and completely opaque with a tan head and tight bubbles. Nose has strong peat notes, very earthy. Gentle roasted malts underneath, light coffee and whiskey in back. Taste is sweet up front, berries and malt, very peaty again, whiskey light in back with charcoal, cardboard, and soy sauce in back. Body is full with some heat and solid carbnoation in finsh.
