Draft @ bbf. Aroma is liquorice, roasted malt and chocolate extract. Times 10. Faint alcohol.
Flavour is the same, beer syrup. Alcohol very well hidden and actually still a beer. Wow. yespr (46530) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - SEP 24, 2011
From tap at Cask. Pours pitch black with a chocolate brown head. Bitter, smoked, thick chocolate and dark malty. Thick, smoked and dark malty flavoured. Dark roasted malty and chocolate thick finish. caesar (7165) - Bunnik/Utrecht, NETHERLANDS - SEP 24, 2011
Tap @ BoreftsBF ’11. Dark color, thick fluorescent brown head. Aroma of coffee, roasted malt, slight alcohol. Thick and creamy. Huge roasted and coffee notes, only slight alcohol burn. Dangerously drinkable (again) and absolutely the best extreme alcohol beer made until now! meerbier (1474) - Pijnacker, NETHERLANDS - SEP 23, 2011

Very peaty aroma. Black as hell, brown head, fair lace. Sweet, peat, licorice, loads of chocolate. Thick, sticky. Very warming.
(Draught at Craft Beer Co, Clerkenwell, London, 23 July 2011. With many thanks to Mes and Tom/MagicDave6) Pitch black colour with lasting, brown head. Malty, vinous nose with notes of roasted malt, dark rye bread, liquorice, cocoa and strong balck coffee (or coffee liqueur). Malty, fruity, roasted taste with strong black coffee, liquorice, raisins, prunes, tar, fresh asphalt and a solid coffee bitterness in a long, warming finish. Massive body, almost ridiculously heavy. Sweet. Ok, it packs a brutal punch, but alcohol is fairly well hidden for its size (however, it kind of turns up the morning after). Stunning beer. Impressive!

Keg at The Wedding. Pours black with a dense (unreal dense), beige head. Boozy nose, some tar and peat, touches of mocha. Flavor is medium sweet with tons of heat, notes of wood, whiskey, burnt chocolate. Full bodied with heavy and active carbonation. Very oily. Finishes hot and lightly burning, notes of scorched wood, baking cocoa provides some dry bitterness. Lingering sting and burnt mocha. Excellent beer. joergen (28751) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - AUG 25, 2011

Entered to celebrate my 8200th Rating. Cask @ Craft Beer & Co, RBESG, 2011. Pours black with a small creamy brown head on top. Smoke, roast, coffee and alcohol. A bit hot. Very sippable and quite elegant. Lovely dark roasted notes. Silky. humlelala (1375) - DENMARK - AUG 24, 2011
(Sample at Papsøe’s) Pours pitch black with no head. Aroma is peat, cough syrup, licorice. Full-bodied, flat, thick texture with a long, dark finish. Taste is dark and bitter with notes of licorice. Doesn’t seem like 39% alcohol to me neither in smell, taste or effect. Ungstrup (38139) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - AUG 24, 2011
Handbottled. A black beer with no head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, alcohol, and iodine. The flavor is sweet with iodine, malt, roasted malt, and wood, leading to a dry, woody finish.
