8cl sample from Carlo at the Oude Schooltje brewery on 23 Dec 2017. Pitch black with small creamy mocha head. Aromas of dark chocolate, licorice, oak, vanilla, whisky booze, dark fruits. Nice flavour layering on the Black Albert base - oak tannin, vanilla and a restrained whisky character. Viscous and smooth. A worthy addition to the Black Damnation line up but I would've liked a little more of the salty whisky character representative of the Talisker.

UPDATED: DEC 20, 2017 . 75l bottle shared @Harry's. Pours pitch black with low head. Aroma is dark fruits, dark malts, chocolate, syrup, (Hanniku says molasses), dates, alcohol. Flavor is mostly same. Some honey and smoke and liquorice/salty liquorice (salmiakki you fools). Roasted malts. Swell!

Bottle #802/2000, 11/22/2017. Pours viscous black, dark as hell, with a thin fine-bubbled head that fades rather quickly. Aroma has a blend of creamy chocolate and vanilla, hint of berries, dark roast coffee giving way to mild peaty finish. Taste has a creamy dark chocolate base with deep roasted malt, espresso beans, with finally peat lingering in the aftertaste, hints of whisky well integrated. Medium body on the lighter side with lower carbonation, but supports the flavor profile well, not feeling overly heavy or sweet. Almost restrained for this series, but the result is solid, one of the better ones from the new bottlings tried so far.

bottle (1294/2000) from beergium. pitch dark, smooth, very smooth brown head. smooth strong roasted malty aroma with finer notes of whisky and wood. very velvety and smooth. flavor is roasted malts, cough candy, booze, quite bitter , quite woody, a bit one dimensional, but tastes quite well. the body doesn't really get as crazy as 13% would indicate, leaving a somewhat watery feeling to it. Still flavor is quite hard roasted and lotsa wood ish' and there are no failts that i can detect. a decent hardcore sipper if you are up to it.

Bottle #584/2000. Dark brown color with white head. Aroma is chocolate, wood, coffee, Belgian yeast, a touch cellar. Taste is dark fruits, chocolate, coffee, caramel, wood, a touch salty, a touch hotness in the back indeed, umami, maybe a touch autolysis. Oily mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Awesome!

Rask0lnikov (1609) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - NOV 1, 2017
Sample from 750ml bottle. Pours dark brown colour. Almost no head. Only thin line of froth around the glass. Dark chocolate, cocoa, slight notes of alcochol, earthy notes in the arona. Coffee at first. Notes of dark chocolate. Slightly sweet and alcocholy in the middle. Bit dry palate. Whiskey and alcocholy notes in the end. Makes warm inside. Bit crisp finish. Slightly bubbly mouthfeel before the finish. Rather coffeish aftertaste with dark chocolate. Alchohol too. Some nutty accent and toffee. Moderate carbonation. Does not have so much berry character. Still very complex and enjoyable imperial stout.
