Bottle 1592/2000, 12/22/2017. Pours black as hell, medium light tan head fading hazy swirls on the surface. Aroma has soft dark roasted malty underpinnings, touch of cocoa and coffee noticeable with incredibly fruity bouquet on top of it all, apple and brandy most apparent but other berries as well, Taste leads with grapes and apple notes, bitter chocolate and espresso through the middle, lingering for quite some time, slightly boozy aftertaste. Medium body. Nose hints at something very sweet, but the taste is well balanced. Not too bad, definitely a different character from the whisky barrel-aged entries in this series.

Black color with mocha head. Aroma has dark chocolate, bitter fudge and light brandy notes. Taste has dark chocolate and astringent roasted malt with a bitter finish. Medium body with low carbonation. Quite good but not really impressive.

Bottle #1933/2000. Dark brown color with beige head. Aroma is chocolate, booze, wood, not so much apples. Taste is apples, calvados, chocolate. Oily mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Calvados Barrel is not completely for me.

Rask0lnikov (1609) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - NOV 3, 2017
Sample from 750ml bottle. Pours dark brown colour. Beige thin line of froth on top. Notes of alcochol, hints of berries, oak, toffee or cocoa in the aroma. Notes of apples and berries at first. Toffee in the middle. Slight notes of apples, vanilla ant toffee in the end. Some bitterness and slcochol too. Rather dry finish. Notes of calvados, slight sourness from the apples and toffee in the aftertaste. Bit spicy, slightly alcocholy. Otherwise mouthfeel is mellow and silky. Good one.

750ml bottle (Overpriced Black Purgatory, Koht, Tallinn) (7-:4:7+:4:15-=3.7-)
Before the details for this particular one, here's the prototype for all the Black Damnations in the series: (7:4:7:4:13=3.5) Very rich toasty roast aroma, gentle level of burntness clear, and some spirity aspects reveal that it's barrel aged, but the variety of the wood of the barrel and the spirit itself isn't so clear. Black, and a tan head that forms little more than a ring. Taste very similar to the aroma, burntish, maybe a little ashy, but not astringent. Alcohol comes over a little more, doesn't hide its strength, but it's still a moderately pleasant sipper. Overall, slightly underwhelming.
Specific variation: Does have more of the woody barrels, but they carry some clear spirit with them. Nice fuller roasted taste, but a gentle velvetty feel. Drinkability very good in this one, the sips are moreish. Finish is heavy with the dark roast, so full, very nice. Does get a little thinner later.
