Finish is long lasting roasty medium bitter, medium alcohol sour and warmth.
Full body, oily texture, flat carbonation.

Bottle at Matteo’s leaving drinks, thanks to the main guy himself. It pours jet black with a thick tan head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, dark chocolate, coffee, dark fruits, cake, syrupy and charred wood. The taste is quite sweet upfront, juicy dark fruits, charred wood, rich roasted malt, dull smoke, chocolate, cookie dough, cake, rocky road, vanilla and plenty of warming booze with a hot finish. Matteo’s Ciao @ Craft Islington. Thanks to Matteo. Opaque black - brown beer, good dark tan head. Palate is airy, semi dry and has reasonable fine carbonation. Spicy rich dark malts, spicy dark chocolate. Woody bitterness and bitter bourbon. Little dark fruits, Rich and spiky but I liked it.
Bottle shared at the CBC Islington for the Matteo farewell tasting. Huge thanks to matteo for this one. An oily black brown coloured pour with a halo dark tan head. Aroma is woody roast, grape, white, meidera cake. Flavour is composed of Boozy cakey malt., vanilla, Palatr is very sweet, woody. Belgian yeast, tangy. Very good.

February 2017 - Bottle share at CBC Islington for the Matteo Farewell tasting, as ’Struise Cuvee Delphine Cask Strength 4 Roses’. Big thanks to Teo for this big beer. Pours opaque black with a foamy brown head. Aroma is mostly Ovaltine, toffee, big cocoa-Horlicks vibe. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is varnish, cocoa, intense woody spice, alcohol. 75cl bottle shared at my Farewell Tasting, London. Sourced via Etre. It pours a dark brown color with a medium beige head. Aroma is rich and coffee with vanilla and coffee. Medium to heavy sweet flavour with alcohol, baking cocoa, fruitcake, raisins, dried berries. Full bodied, chewy, with fine carbonation. Aroma is light heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, dark malt, wood, alcohol, moderate yeasty, dried fruit, candy - fruity yeast. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, wodd - oak, alcohol, belgium yeast - candy - dried fruit, chocolate, dark malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic.
