Previously 13% abv, 11% abv from 2014->. Black Albert was used in a new barrel aging project. More than a year ago, Carlo was able to get his hands on a stock of Four Roses Bourbon barrels, and we happily filled them up with Batch „0". This unique creation was originally to be named 4 Black Roses in honour of its heritage, but our friends in Kentucky strongly advised us not to do so! What to do? As the disowned offspring of Black Albert, the name Cuvée Delphine imposed itself. Savouring the Belgian irony, we are most honoured to have artwork by Delphine Boël shining on this label. You will not find this ale all over the globe. There is no export program, but we will try to provide stock through our web shop and some specialty beer pubs.

Bottle. This is a thick and rich stout. I loved black albert but this has raised the bar.

330 ml bottle of 11% version. Nearly black with small brown head. Sweet taste with some alcohol, chocolate and roasted taste.

Black hue under a thin light tan head. Amazing nose of chocolate cake and roast and woody bourbon. Flavor is rich and dark and full of bittersweet dark chocolate, woody charred oak, a bit of bourbon, brown sugar, a touch of vanilla, booze and more roast malt and wood on the finish. Big sugary black malt throughout with a little bourbon and oak heat.

Draft at Bottlecraft hoping it will balance out the accidental $26 Hair of the Dog purchase I just made! Classic dark stout pour with a brown ring. Big, boozy aroma with some dark malt and demerara sugar. Big flavor with something like those chocolate, cherry cordials. Pretty good and glad I got to try it here. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Quel bouquet.

Bottle. 2012 vintage. Pours dark and thick. Taste is sweet liquorice, roasted coffee, dark chocolate, brown sugar, hints of warming alcohol and spices. Perfectly matched. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

33cl bottle. 2009 Vintage. Best before 2015-07-14.It poured a pitch black colour with no head, just a thin brown layer on top. Aroma is alcohol, liqorice, oak (bourbon), vanilla, cocoa, coffee and brown sugar. The flavour round and smooth. Lots of liqorice, vanilla, molasses, coffee and dark cocoa. Faint hints of bourbon, oak and alcohol. After the beer has warmed up a bit leather and smokey notes appear as well. Long, lingering aftertaste. A wonderful beer.
