to Fata2683/Keith-pours no head and black color. Aroma is earthy, musty. Taste is earthy, dark fruit, musty, funk.
Thanks fata! Odd beer. Brownish pour. Fruity, peaty, vinegar, wood, funk, yeast aroma. Flavor is sweet, tart, funky, woody, vinegar, fruity, spice...hard to pin it down. But I actually liked it. darkguardian (733) - Florida, USA - MAR 15, 2010
I think I liked this more than most but its certainly an odd beer. Thanks to Fata and the guys at Struise for providing this bottle at RBWG. Nose is malt. A slight hint of lactic and hay but very slight and also some alcohol. Flavor is better but its still a bit messy. Starts of with a little lactic sourness then goes into some really intense layers of malt flavor, its lacking alot of depth right now. Finishes with a hint of dry sourness. Almost like a strong barley wine had been mixed with earthmonk. This needs alot more time before its ready. With the extreme abv here I think this could develop nicely but its going to take time. Right now the malt has little depth and the sourness is barely there. In 3 years this could be amazing. gkost (1069) - Alaska, USA - MAR 14, 2010
Pours brown, hazy. Nose is smokey, licorice, mild funk, sweet malts, heavy roast, some tartness. Flavor is a strange spicy, smokey, licorice, fruity roasty all over the place beer. Hides the booze well. Overall, strange. pompelmoes (89) - BELGIUM - MAR 11, 2010
From a 75cl Bottle, Very strange beer, dark in colour with almost no foam or carbonation. Aroma is odd, rich with musty smell, rotten wood with sour cherries, some tabasco and havana cigar too. Taste is oily with a sweet and sour character, again hints of rotten leafs and wood, also touches of balsamic vinegar, body-warming alcohol and plenty of rich, sweet malts with a hint of worster-sauce. In a way, I did like it very much.

Black with a tiny beige head. Sourish aroma with plenty of yeast, roasted malt and not really anything else. Sweet flavour with roasted malt, rye bread, lacto and funk. Very weird brew this one. I think the champagne yeast screwed it. madsberg (11770) - Søborg, DENMARK - MAR 8, 2010
Bottled. Brownish coloured. Unclear. Light brown small head. Sweetness, light grape and distinct yeast in the aroma. Quite vineous. Flavour is yeast, sweet, fruity and full of alcohol. Medium bodied. Dry fruity and yeasty end. Theis (15152) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAR 8, 2010
Bottle at Pre-ZBF 2010. Black - no head. Grainy, raw malt direktly from the grainbag, vegetable aroma, wierd, light barrel, yeasty, licorice, unpeasant. Sorry - I don’t like this. joergen (28106) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAR 8, 2010
Bottle at PreZBF 2010.
Hazy dark brown coloured with a small beige head.
Light acidic aroma of caramel, red wine and cereal with notes of alcohol.
Fruity flavour of caramel, yeast and oak with notes of red wine and calvadis.
Finish of red wine and alcohol.
Strange beer. yespr (45425) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - MAR 6, 2010
Magnum bottle at pre-ZBF 2010. Pours dark brown to black with a small tan head. Aroma is wineous, loads of champagne yeast, fruity and dark malty. Light alcohol presence, no real sweetness yet a sweet impression from the dense fruity note. Dark malty and overripe fruity. Dense fruity finish. Boozy lasting impression of the finish. This is mostly odd if anything.
