Bottle, 06/02/2012. Pours ruby amber color, minimal spotty beige head, syrupy legs of alcohol. Aroma definitely very malty, sweet, tripel-like fruitiness- apples, pears- dark caramel and spiciness that blends in with hot boozy finish. Taste is equally intense- apples, pears, plum identifiable in the myriad fruit notes, along with sweet toffee syrup bread maltiness, and serious alcoholic heat. Palate is ultra-thick, syrupy, liqueur like, mild carbonation. Probably a bit over the top, but lovely in small doses- if this really does mellow out down the line, will be much nicer. chrisv10 (18826) - DENMARK - MAY 26, 2012

On tap @ Copenhagen Beer Celebration. Clear nougat brown/golden body, medium off-white head. Nose is intense syrupy candy sugars, booze, deep malty tones and hints of wood. Smooth, and the alcohol is well covered in other aromas. Taste is heavy sweet raisins, nougat, syrup, nuts, dark fruits and hints of wood and alcohol. Very nice and incredibly smooth for such a gargantuan ABV. A unique beer.
