A golden amber DIPA with a thick frothy lacing off white head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with light herbaceous character, floral hops, light dank notes, light oxidation, nice. In mouth, a smooth fruity caramel malt with restrained floral hops, light figs, plum, light pleasant oxidation, treacle, alcohol warmth, well done. On tap at Monk’s café. mcberko (17823) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 19, 2015
On tap at Apex, pours a clear copper orange with a small white head. Aroma is herbal, with earthy hops, feet and bready notes. Flavour is along the same lines, with herbal and earthy hops - lots of feet too. Not too palatable. Surprisingly disappointing for Struise. Draft at Monks. Hazy amber pour that started with some foam, though it completely disappeared within a few minutes. No lace. Very strong hop bite. Big bitter dried hop flavors. Dark oranges. Autumn leaves. Red plums. Some floral and herbal notes. Hints of peat, cinnamon and apple cores. Bitter enough to numb your tongue. Surprisingly not all that sweet - certainly less so than most huge IPAs with giant IBUs. So kudos for that! Pretty extraordinary! Alengrin (5369) - BELGIUM - AUG 21, 2014
Very heavy ’triple’ IPA made in collaboration with Pipeworks. Thin, off-white head, cloudy, deep amber colour. Excessively hoppy aroma as expected, grapefruit, tobacco, ginger, orange peel, apricot, white pepper, tonic water, grass, lime. Fruity onset on a caramelly malt base, citrussy and spicy, nicely blending into a powerful, herbal, citrussy hop bitterness, long and dry, with the expected, but not disturbing and actually quite well-hidden, warming alcohol. Impressive. Wim (3980) - Weelde, BELGIUM - MAY 30, 2014
taster at the school of struise gold blond-colored body with a white head and a spicy hop aroma a spicy bitter hop taste with a bitter finish does justice to its name hop verdomme

Hazy yellow colour, soft carbonation. Taste starts light sweet with bitter finish. Aroma of fresh hops and citrus. Good beer. MrChopin (4304) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - FEB 19, 2014
murky caramel tan, oily white top. Dirty cardboard nose, oxidized manure with faint earth and plum. Initially sweet flavor is hash of raw sugar and oxidation, sugars through iron and manure mid, sticky finish is marshmallow and caramel doused in alcohol. TBone (17530) - Pori, FINLAND - DEC 6, 2013

Deep amber color, good off-white head. Fresh hop leaf aroma. Medium-bodied. Very bitter fresh hoppy flavor. Extremely "fresh hoppy" experience.
Heavy as a motherfucker but not as boozy as you woudl expect. Also not as hoppy (overseas journey). It isn’t bad, very earthy.
