Bottle at THE Sour and Saison Tasting, London. Thanks to Bruce for keeping the tasting going long after the sours and saisons had been drank. Pours black-brown with a creamy, beige cap. Tangy chocolate nose. Big sweet flavor though not at all cloying, with baking cocoa, moderate alcohol, dark berries and raisins in particular. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Warming finish with dry chocolate, more dark and dried fruits. Great stuff, nicely balanced.
Bottle, vintage 2012 at kulminator. Pours black with brownish head. Aroma is chocolste, roast, mslt. Flavor is sweet and bitter, chocolate, roast, sugar, malt, some fruits. Finish is sweet chocolate. Overall: great, age has done good things to this. No obvious port notes tho (and that’s actually good thing.) scanovajr (753) - Rio de Janeiro, BRAZIL - AUG 19, 2017

330ml bottle bought in Brussels in 2013. VIntage 2011. Pours an almost black with a huge dark beige head. Aroma is chocolate, cherries, port barrel, some iron notes. Taste is sweet, chocolate, roasted malt some cherry and iron notes. Same aftertaste. This beer would be much better without iron in it, but it still good, though.

Barwa ciemno br?zowa, prawie czarna, br?zowa piana miejscami w kolorze ciemnego br?zu. Drobno i ?rednio p?cherzykowa, o sporych rozmiarach, bardzo trwa?a.
Aromat intensywnie palony i wytrawny, s? tutaj nuty mocnej kawy, likieru z ciemnych owoców, karmel delikatnie spalony.
Smak przypalony, popio?owy, z kaw? i likierem kawowym tworz?cym kr?gos?up Kabert’a. Ciemne owoce, rodzynki nadaj? owocowe t?o a ca?o?? uzupe?nia przypalona, kawowa goryczka.
Alkohol schowany idealnie, przypomina o sobie delikatnymi nutami Porto.
Nasycenie niskie, uprzyjemnia degustacje i powolne s?czenie tego RIS’a. Piwo ma faktur? g?st? i oleist?. jkwood04 (5452) - Connecticut, USA - FEB 4, 2017
11.2oz bottle in a tulip. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma of roasted and chocolate malts, a decent amount of sweetness, some port and oak, and light dough and bitterness. Flavor of a nice smooth imperial stout with the roast and chocolate and port barrels all balancing out nicely. Smoother texture. Very cool. rouhlas (3665) - GREECE - DEC 20, 2016
