On tap at VCBF17, Belgium. Nose is coconuts, glue. Body is clear deep amber, head is small, off-white, frothy, mostly diminishing, no lacing. Aroma is orange liquor, coconut, whiskey, glue. Heavy sweet, medium fruity sour. Finish is long lasting fruity medium sweet sour, medium alcohol warmth. Full body, dry sticky texture, flat carbonation. Heavy liquorish beer, tasty, nice one.

Batavi (394) - Waalwijk, NETHERLANDS - JAN 31, 2017

UPDATED: JUN 11, 2017 Drank during Beer & Boots 18-9-2016. Awesome beer. Thick, rich sweetness. It’s a kind of whisky-light. Rated lower after sampling at VCBF ’17. Taste is mainly just alcohol, clearly less balanced beer than for example Pohjala’s 16% barley wine.

McWorta (1633) - LUXEMBOURG - JUN 24, 2015
Light opalescent bright nut brown colour. Aromas of vanilla, wood and almonds arise. Light carbonation, slick texture and full bodied this beer offers pretty sweet flavours of caramelised fruit, toffee and vanilla fudge and a well lingering bitterness. Lasting sweet and warming finish.

Kolor herbaciany, bursztynowy. W czasie degustacji Kamikaze mo?na by?o wyczu? maliny, s?odycz d?emu truskawkowego i pestkow?, ?agodn? goryczk?. Wydaje mi si? natomiast, ?e w du?ej ilo?ci mo?e by? nie pijalne.

Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma of bourbon, red fruits, caramel, vanilla, oak, marmalade and honey. Sweet malty flavour, bit bitter, wood, light hops, caramel. Finish vanilla, wood, caramel, bourbon. No idea the base beer was a dipa. Great beer though!
