Pitch black colour, small brown head. Aroma is herbs, quite stingingly sweet with some liquoice, alcohol and raisins. Flavour is very similar in a quite sticky sweet way.
Draught at SBWF. Near black, small beige head.Aroma of tobacco and earth. Mildly oaky with some port. Full bodied with well rounded mouthfeel. Somewhat vinous with less aggressive roastiness than many other Struise stouts. Drier and tarter, less ppowerful anbd more refined. Probably my favourite Struise stout to date. madmitch76 (24791) - , Essex, ENGLAND - OCT 13, 2013

Opaque black - brown beer with a big fluffy tan head. Light palate, crisp and semi dry. Somewhat left field this beer - a juxtaposition of dark malt with a trace of roast and creamy white wine! Trace of wood, Finishes slightly spicy with woody bitterness and bitter linger. Unusual beer, just about hangs together and has an overall ’dark lambic’ vibe.
Bottle courtesy of kraddel, thank you sir! Extremely dark maroon color, thick brown head with good retention and solid lacing. Aroma of floral cocoa, vanilla. Taste is slightly sour cocoa and coffee. Tasty. cgarvieuk (24462) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - DEC 15, 2015
