In short: A generic, yeasty and very sweet strong Belgian blonde ale. Just ok.FatPhil (16102) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - AUG 18, 2011
How: Magnum shared at RBSG 2011 grand tasting
The look: Cloudy blonde body topped by a small white head
In long: Nose is typical sweet Belgian blonde fruity yeast esters with sweetened bananas, apricots, pineapples and such. Taste is very yeasty, doughy and with the same sweetened light color fruits as the aroma. No hops presence. Very generic and too sweet. That’s a big magnum I should have skipped, actually at this point of the tasting I should have stopped drinking, but my father didn’t raise a quitter.
1.5L bottle (ChrisO’s pre-GBBF2011 "Donkey Dork Lord" shindig)Leighton (21258) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 2, 2011
Orange with a mouldy head. Honey and brett aroma. Apples, apricots, and peach too. Yeast too prominant in the taste, even though this wasn’t the bottom of the bottle at all. Holy jeebus, that finish is packing a huge alcoholic punch, it’s bringing tears to my eyes.
Bottle (Magnum from 2005!) at ChrisO’s Pre-GBBF Shindig 2011. Pours clear yellow with a big, white head. Plenty of sweet dough in the aroma, some boozy licks. Flavor is very sweet, some yeast and dough, faint hay bitterness. Medium to full in body with average to lively carbonation. Light warming finish, notes of dough, yeast and candi sugar. Has stood up reasonably well. KyotoLefty (10264) - Kyoto, JAPAN - JUL 31, 2011
Bottle at Chriso’s. Medium blonde color. Soft aroma of lemon and honey. Sweet flavor of an aged tripel, with citrus, honey, biscuits, and a soft body. Nice but maybe better a couple years back. Beerman6686 (6607) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 27, 2011
This poured a clear blonde to yellow color with a huge white head due to gushing. Aroma was light belgina spices, some pepper and coriander with light caramel too. Flavor was lgiht grassy hops, pepper, yeast and a good amount of sweetness.

blasting gusher, then hazy gold, large, white head stays. Lightly grassy, milky yeast nose, bit of hay and sugar. Flavor is more milk, hay, pepper through green finish. Rather sweet, bit of overkill, particularly in palate. GT (10000) - San Diego, California, USA - JUN 9, 2011
1.5L (magnum) shared at RBSG 2011 in Philly. Gusher! The pour is a cloudy gold with a giant fizzy white head. Very cloudy from sedimentation getting mixed up. No head retention. Nose is all sugar and candy with mild lemon and dough. Belgian yeasty but unremarkable. Taste is spritzy and very sweet with heavy candi sugar content like Duvel. Doughy and approaching wild amounts of sugar sweetness. Not bad, but diabetic bomb for sure. Softer, doughy palate. TURDFERGUSON (4058) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - JUN 7, 2011
Big bottle at rbsg2011. Shared by the ggaughn or kkearn. Gusher. Very cloudy yellow orange. Grainy, yeasty flavor. Very sweet and meh. ryan (3186) - Beltsville, Maryland, USA - JUN 4, 2011
Sweet golden fruit nose with a bit of oxidation and tons of candy sugar. The taste is moderately sweet, lightly sweet, lots of candi sugar and peach/pear/apple, some peppery yeast. DJMonarch (9179) - Northwich, Cheshire, ENGLAND - AUG 17, 2010
From the Bottle at Chris O’s pre GBBF tasting, Kensal Rise 31/07/2010 (2005 version)
Fruity aroma. Light golden coloured and a little hazy in appearance. Strong in alcohol with a slightly dry malt finish.
