COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
"Vintage 2005"
Our PGR has aged for 24 months on oak barrels and has been bottled for the first time on the 27th of December 2007. The main difference with the Pannepot Reserva is that PGR matured the last ten months on Calvados oak barrels, adding extra complexity to the beer. We dedicate this beer as a tribute to Jeppe & Michael of Ølbutikken in Denmark. Those gentlemen were the first to discover our beers on an International basis back in 2004 and are responsable somehow for our beers being all over the globe since then. As a token of gratitude towards Jeppe & Michael, the first shipment of PGR was scheduled to Ølbutikken so they could be the first to launch its commercialisation.

[2011] Mocno drożdżowe, zdecydowanie wytrawne i ściągające. Trochę owoców, drewno, beczka, lekko ziołowe, spore wysycenie.

Pours an unclear dark rusty brown with a beige head. Aroma has sweet vanilla, stewed fruits, oak, something oxidised, vinous and bready. Slight banana yeast notes too. The taste has roasted sweet malts, almost like a pumpernickel loaf but the baker dropped vanilla and Christmas spices into the dough. Slightly oxidised taste again, which put me off a bit but I can still appreciate the otherwise pretty great beer. Long bready aftertaste.

UPDATED: JUL 15, 2017 Bottle, vintage 2010, courtesy of SinH4, many thanks! Pours dark brown with a medium but short lived foam. Aroma is dark ripe fruit, oak, calvados, raisin and fig, more booze than the regular Reserva. More phenols too. Body is heavy and rich, sweet and boozy, but again well balanced. The Calvados barrel is present and makes it sweeter and thicker than the regular Reserva. Sweeter palate too, but still warming and boozy. Also a very good beer, more intense, but a tad harder to enjoy due to less balance.

Dark brown, with a bit of yeast in the bottom. Brown head, that disappear pretty fast. Taste is brown sugar, dark fruit and booze.

2010 Vintage

Aroma:
Medium/heavy aroma of malts, caramel, Belgian yeast, wood, vanilla, apple, dark fruit, chocolate and roaster malts.

Appearance:
Turbid/opaque ruby/dark brown beer with a slight/medium beige/brown head.

Taste/Palate:
Starts medium/heavy sweet with malts, caramel, Belgian yeast, wood, vanilla, apple, dark fruit and chocolate; ends slightly bitter and dry with roasted malts.

Overall:
This beer is intense, complex and balanced. What a lovely dark Belgian Ale, which brings loads of dark fruit, together with a lot of roasted malts, thus creating a lovely chocolate as well. Amazing to taste the aging of that barrel as well. Perfect appearance and palate and a great aroma as well.

Aromat: cudowny, mocny i gęsty aromat. Smak: lekka i przyjemna łagodna owocowość, jabłka,maliny, jeżyny, winogrona. Następnie mamy słodkie ciemne owoce, suszona śliwka, suszone gruszki i jabłka rodzynki, figi. Dalej karmel, toffi, jakieś nuty ciemnego, razowego pieczywa. 9/3/9/5/18

2011 edition, drank in 2017. Basically becomes the barrel at this point. Objectively great, but not sure if I’m personally into the extremely bold woodsy flavour. Dark in colour with little to no head. Quite an astringent finish with sour berries in the background.

33cl bottle at home. Vintage 2011. Pours a deep mahogany brown colour with a medium beige head with good retention. Aroma of oak, dark malt, red wine, fig, plums, dark chocolate, orange. Taste is fairly sweet, low bitter with a soft dry finish. Notes of dark chocolate, dark malt, caramel, slight peat, figs, raisins, plums, glühwein. Texture is oily, full bodied with moderate carbonation
