COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pannepøt (read Pannepeut) is a beer specially brewed and named as a wink to the Danish market presented at the Danish beer festival ’Københavnske Øldage 2006’ exclusively at Ølbutikkens stand. It is produced to express the brewers gratitude to all the Danish beer amateurs that drink their products daily. Pannepøt has later been available on draught and bottles at bars and shops in Belgium & Denmark. Since winter 2006, this beer’s popularity kept growing in Belgium at such a level that the production today equals Pannepot.

God fylde.

Bought in Grobbendonk. Yes, it was Pannepeut, not Pannepot. Roasted malt, licorice and salt in the aroma. Sweet flavor. Malty with licorice, raisin, alcohol salt and plums. Roasted malt. A heavy beer, still reasonably well balanced, therefore well made. Good stuff.

Bottle (Sydney Summer Gathering 2007): A very nice choice for a cool autumn evening, I think. Cloudy amber with an off-white head. Not really much going on the aroma - some slight dusty malts, but nothing identifiable. However, in the mouth this is extraordinary. Thick, sweet toffees over chewy highly spiced clove and caramel. A delight.

UPDATED: AUG 16, 2007 Pours a cloudy amber with a thin lacing on the glass. Smells perfumy and wild with lots of crassy/hay countryside elements. Taste is citrussy and boozy with lots of flowal undertones. Surprisingly drinkable for a beer that’s 10% ABV.

Amber, brown coloured brew. Sweet nice aroma. Taste is not perfect, but still nice. Fruity.

Bottled at Chris_O Fest March 2007. A hazy brown coloured beer which suprisingly gushed a massive amount. The aroma is sweet with candy sugar notes. The taste has good malts and plenty of sweet candy sugars. Lovely alcohol notes. Not as tasty as Pannepot as the extra sugars make it feel a little gritty.

ChrisFest Sweet and light and quite fragrant. Very enjoyable and easy drinking. Would have enjoyed drinking more but Phil_L picked up my glass and poured it away because he was losing an argument with me.

UPDATED: JAN 13, 2008 Bottle. Head is initially small, frothy, light brown, mostly lasting. Body is murky dark brown, bottle conditioned. Aroma is moderately malty (caramel, cookie, chocolate), with notes of overripe banana, candy/brown sugar, and orange peel. Flavor is heavily sweet, lightly acidic. Finish is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Medium to full body, velvety/syrupy texture, lively carbonation, moderately alcoholic.

Thanks sayravai, very dark nut brown color, creamy cappucino head. Nose is not so strong, but I can trace tar, licorice and coffee. Smooth mouthfeel. Quite sweet, even syrapy - sweeter than "normal" Pannepot. Some licorice, dark fruits and candy sugar. A bit same than with Pannepot - way too sweet to be really on top.

2006. murky brown with a small film head. large bubbles stay on the sides of the glass. fruity, estery aroma with notes of caramel. flavor has notes of bready malts, plenty of dark fruits(blackberry, plum), a little caramel, and maybe a touch of vanilla. dry. full bodied. lightly sour.
