Bottle @ Københavnske Øldage 2007 in Copenhagen. [HUGE thanks to the Struise guys for making this happen] Hazy dark amber color with a average frothy fair lacing mostly diminshing beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, moderate to heavy yeasty, very complex aroma of gum, wood, alcohol, vintage, oaky fruity. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, very nice and good balance. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. One off the very best beers ;o)) Please give me more of this stuff, it is brilliant ;o)) yespr (47048) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - MAY 30, 2007
CBF07 sample from 75 cL bottle, placed on the RB table by the crazy Belgian brewers who drove alle Saturday to come to Copenhagen with this treat, cheers! Pours hazy deep brown with a huge light brown head. Aroma is wineous, roasted malt, dried fruit, raisins mainly. Flavour is soft malty sweet. Strong fruity and complex profile, really lovely blend. Alcohol makes a short appearance. Slight smoked note and soft malty caramel with a strong alcohol note in the finish. Ungstrup (38243) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JUN 20, 2007
Celebrating 8500 ratings with the currently 4th highest rated beer. A very deer red (bourgundy) beer with a medium sized brown head. The aroma is sweet with notes of fruits both dried and fresh, caramel, malt, alcohol, and spices among them cinnamon and cloves, something also reminds me of edible roots. The flavor is very sweet and very powerful with notes of over ripe fruits, spices (cinnamon, cloves and more), caramel, malt, alcohol, and brown sugar leading to a sweet and smooth, but at the same time with a slight dryness from the wood finish. The alcohol runs along and tickles the palate and gives it a nice body. joergen (28964) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAY 21, 2007

UPDATED: JUN 27, 2016 Deep brown ... little smokey malts ... Very simelar dark malt fruit richness to the normal ... lots of deep fruityness ... little woodyness from the oak ... little non bitter chocolate and just a touch of zeztyness and tiny citric bust I found this and the normal to be very slighly different making each distict but could not seperte them as one better than the other. These two beers were my top choice in an evening that included Narke Kaggen, Westvltern 12 and Nogne Dark Horizon so truly a stunning beer. Id also like to thank Carlo for the bottle. UPDATED: JUL 5, 2007 Bottled at Københavnske Øldage. Cloudy dark brown, dense head. Intense arousing aroma of raspberry and wood. Earthy, soft and mild. There’s cherry and wood. Deep complex earthy buttery malt character. The oak barrel character is restrained, just adding complexity to an already complex beer. Instead it is driven by superb malt flavours and esters. Mild, soothing and fruity, Westvleteren 12 like, as I remember it from the first time I tried it. Ultrasuperb - one of the very best beers I’ve ever had the opportunity to try. madmitch76 (25344) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JUL 21, 2010
6th March 2010. Cloudy brown beer. Soft dry palate. Soft malt, a little woody. Lots of sweet bubblegum with a little orange fruit. Not bad at all!
