COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Pannepot Reserva was an idea from my brew colleague Carlo who wanted to age Pannepot in genuine French oak barrels (barrique 225 liters). We have brewed 90HL at the end of 2005 which has been aging on oak ever since (14 months). 30 Hl was bottled Tuesday 8th May 2007. 60Hl has been transferred now to second hand calvados oak vessels and will be bottled again early autumn 2007, we will name that batch Pannepot Grand Reserva. As quality and results rule at Struise, the Reserva was already brewed again and aging on oak.

This is the beer you work up to. You start your quest, try different shit here and there, sign up for rate beer, rate a little, maybe do some trades, and then this ends up in your cup. And at that point you tell yourself it was all worth it. This is such a delicious beer. Read all the other reviews if you dont believe me.

Great aroma with notes of oak, a bit of vanilla, dried fruits, a bit of fennols and wine-like red fruits. Taste is smooth, rather sweet with medium-low bitterness and again lots of fruits with a solid malty base. Fabulous beer.

Fizzy Brown, collapsing foam. Spicy sweet aroma, good dense mouth feel, a bit too sweet for the flavors it delivers. Overall a tad too sticky but a good warmer.
