Bottle picked up at the Old Schoolhouse, Flanders in the company of Ian Harrisoni, consumed at home Monday 7th August 2017 Dark brown with a head that rapidly departed, a little stock, fruity, I had a this a couple of months ago and didn’t enjoyed those as much as I do now. Fruity, dark sticky fruits, damson, good. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8

Draft sample at ACBF 2017. Clear maroon color, beige head. Aroma of caramel, vinous dried fruit, tannins. Taste is fruity dark caramel and light tannins. very tasty.

On tap at Struise Brouwers @ The Old School pours out a deep purple with a tan ring of a head. Nose is sweet pit fruit rich malts and some big barrel notes. Taste leads with the barrel then sweet malts some nice fruit notes and spice.

ACBF 2017. Thank you for sharing kraddel, tderoeck, Travlr & friends. Sampled draft. 2014 Vintage. Struise keeps making more & more expensive with diminishing returns. They were the only brewery at the festival to charge 2 tokens for all beers. Black, little tanned head. Nose is vinous molasses, licorice, sugar syrup with some sourness & green apple, doesn’t feel right. Taste is alcoholic pruno (or how I imagine that it tastes like), wine syrup, vinous, green apple, too grainy, yeast, sourish. Body is sour. Feels in some ways too young despite the noted 2014 Vintage, weird. Days of Struise churning out one masterpiece after another are long gone. Their current marketing is not my thing, maybe I am missing something since the fan boys cannot get enough.

On tap at Uiltje Bar, Haarlem. Pours black with small brownish head. Malty, caramel, dried fruit, spicy, wine, wood. Sweet. Soft carbonation, oily, warming. Medium to full bodied.

tap at schooltje. Pours dark brown, no real head. Smell is full, thick, bit sweet; Taste is full, bit bitter, mild fruit. Some caramel, tad of dark malts, some spices. Very drinkable !

Draft @ Het Schooltje courtesy of Carlo. Shared with the UnPer100 crew. Retrouve le profil typique de Pannepot, et comme les deux autres versions utilisant ce vin dégustées ce jour, je retrouve encore un agrément fruité rouge qui vient ajouter une belle profondeur à la Pannepot. Le caractère malté et finement épicé est bien mis en valeur, le vin rouge reste discret, voire un peu moins qu’avec du Makers ou autre single malt. La profondeur du malt, chocolaté, cara reste le gage de qualité de cette bière.

Clear purple brown beer, small irregular creamy beige head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: sweet, caramel, lots of dried fruits. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: sweet, lots of alcohol, caramel, bit oxidized, sweet malts, milk chocolate. Aftertaste: spicy, ginger bread, malty.
