November 2017 - Bottle share in Hackney. Big, big thanks to Kenny. As 'Struise Pannepot Wild', 2008 bottling – only 300 bottles produced, Saint Emilion BA. Pours a dark brown purple, small ring of foamy light brown head. Aroma is faint vinegar, airy, little woody. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is woody and spicy, apple, lots of dry mixed spice, little cocoa in there too, pretty boozy with more spice in the finish. Interesting stuff. Bottle at RBESG 2016 Grand Tasting Part 1, Brew Pub Le Sec. A little gushing to start, be careful! Very hazy brown with a ring tan head. Aroma of overripe dark fruits, caramel, light brett funk, a little tart dark fruit raisins and prunes. Flavour is above moderate sweet, light moderate bitter and light sour. Full bodied with soft carbonation. I was worried this would just be infected Pannepot but it comes together very well and drinks superbly. BRW (3073) - Barcelona, SPAIN - AUG 2, 2016

Aged bottle via PUB’R. Hazy brown pour with tan head. Nose was yeasty funky raisiny fruit, fig. Tasted dense, tart, complex, with notes of fig, prunes, yeasty funk, and hops. Very little oxidation detected by Doc Lock. Great beer. thepatrickman (1503) - Lewes, East Sussex, ENGLAND - DEC 22, 2015
UPDATED: MAR 30, 2016 From notes (09/07/2014), on tap at Ebenezer’s in Maine. Incredible and complex. Belgian malt and yeast are evident, but are taken in entirely new directions with the wild yeast strains. The aroma has a pronounced barnyard and leather smell, although it’s well integrated into everything else. Outstanding. wedgie9 (2703) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - FEB 1, 2015
From notes. Tasted on 3/16/13 from a capped 750mL bottle (light gusher) that I shared at our epic Bottleworks tasting with Curtis, Jedi, and crews from Knoxville and Nashville. Pours dark auburn with a thick beige, pink-tinted head that leaves average lace. The nose is classic raisin and candi sugar Pannepot with a ton of funky, earthy, and spicy yeast. The flavor is plenty roasted with some oak added, but is all about the dried fruit quad and crazy funky yeast, not really sour, but super funky. The body is full with average carbonation and a long malty, roasted, and funky/spicy finish.
