Bottle - Vintage 2007 - Mollases, anise, prunes and dark fruits. Black/brown with almost no head. Sour cherry, prunes, brown sugar and dark fruit. The sourness has me believe this beer is past it’s prime, but still enjoyable. MiP (15960) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - APR 27, 2005
UPDATED: MAY 26, 2005 Bottle. Sweet dried fruit aroma. Dark chestnut colour. Stable light brown head. Sweet flavour, distinct liquorice notes. Quite high carbonation, creamy mouthfeel. Thanks to Lachesis for this one. bhensonb (15601) - Woodland, California, USA - JUL 19, 2008
33 cl bottle; 2006. Dark, opaque brown color with a huge rocky tan head. Aromas of dark fruit, like dates, and roasted malts. Medium body with sweet notes of light stone fruit and treacle. It goes on like that, and the finish is lightly sweet, but nearly dry. It’s not a bitter finish, but it is incredibly tasty. Wonderful ale. UPDATED: APR 29, 2011 2010 bottle at Het Oude Schooltje, thanks to Carlo. It pours very dark brown with almost no head. The nose is full of dark fruit (date, plum and raisin), liquorice, varnish, caramel, clove and has a medicinal quality. The taste is caramel, plum, fig, currant, prune, coffee, liquorice, crème brûlée, clove, cinnamon, caramelised bananas, dark sour cherry, menthol and has a long lingering alcohol warmth. It’s very complex, packed full of flavour and still remains very drinkable. Tastes just like Christmas pudding, awesome! djd07 (15330) - Houston, Texas, USA - JAN 22, 2016
