vinivini (3075) - Gomel, BELARUS - DEC 12, 2017
Bottle from 01.04.2012. Hazy amber colour. Off-white well-lacing head. Aroma: Belgian beauty with a subtle barrel touch. Some hops as well. Full body. Moderately sweet taste. Smooth malts, fine yeast, nuts, dried fruit, low bitterness. Delicious stuff. Just not a Quad.

Bottle shared in Hackney - many thanks to Danny. Pours mostly clear ruby with a small, creamy tan head. The nose has some butterscotch, toffee, brown bread. Medium to big sweet flavour with some creamy honey, toffee, more brown bread. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish, smooth and creamy, more toffee, butterscotch, no bitterness. Great stuff.

4.5
colui72 (1118) - HONG KONG - DEC 9, 2017
Pours bright amber, with a big white head, not much lacing. Aroma of ripe fruit, wood, Belgian malts, spruce. Tastes sweet, boozy, spiced, ripe fruit, wood, wine, bourbon, spruce, orange dried peel. Very rich, full bodied, soft carbonation, long finish. Awesome brew, lingering flavours, complex, and much more X'massy than most of X'mas gimmick ales.

thornecb (6092) - Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA - DEC 3, 2017
Pours clear deep gold into a tulip. Head quickly recedes to nothing. Dark pit fruit aromas. Sweet caramel and molasses upfront turning to hot vanilla, bourbon and plum wine in the lasting burn finish.
