33cl bottle @Coalla, Oviedo. 23-01-2017.
BBD: 06-2018.
In short: yeasty sweet ale.
Pours quite hazy copper-dark amber with nice off white head. Moderate head retention, good lacing. Yeasty, malty, caramel, little roasty nose. Medium body, average carbonation, crispy texture. Taste is quite sweet, caramel, nice malt bill, roasty, spicy. Goood, enjoyable.

Bottle (Rosse 2015). Hazy dark amber colour, large creamy tan head, good lacing. Aroma of red fruit, honey, bread, vinegar. Taste is dry, light to medium sour, light bitter, vinous: red fruit, lemon, bread, spices. Tangy. Light to medium body, average to lively carbonation. Interesting.

Nice red fruit over vinegar, a bit off dark bread. Taste is earthy sourness with red vinous dominance and nice complex fruity character.

Bottle at the restaurant ’down the road’ from the Struise brewery. Hazy amber beer. Crisp malts. Trace of dark malts. Nuttyness. Finishes dry and crisp. Tidy.

Textura aceitosa. Aroma a piruleta, frutas, azúcar moreno, algo herbal.

Note fruité type cerise et prune . Malté assez intense. Carbonnisation convenable .

0.33l bottle (2008) from BrewDog webshop. Rosse is a deep plum-jucie murky-as-hell beer with a small bubbly sidesticking beige head. One of the murkiest beers I’ve ever had, and yet it looks amazing! Aroma is nice and fruity-sweet, notes of brown sugar, perhaps some candy?, red apples, some faint yeast, toffee and hints of barn? Not extreme but quite nice. Average prickling carbonation, oily and slick mouthfeeling and medium-bodied. Tastes not what I had expected. There are lots of bitter and dry dark chocolate, some plums, almost ashy, it’s also light sour and mild tart with notes of lingon- and rognebær. It finishes off with some nice hints of alcohol in the somewhat watery finish and aftertaste. Interesting beer! 19.08.2011
