Miedziane, klarowne, z niewielką i nietrwałą pianą. W mało intensywnym zapachu suszona żurawina, kandyzowane owoce, porto, nalewka wiśniowa... W smaku sporo słodyczy, kojarzącej się z rodzynkami i figami, do tego lekka owocowa kwaskowatość, ziemistość, pieprz i wyraźna whisky. Długa i wysoka, głogowo alkoholowa, nieprzyjemna goryczka, średnie wysycenie, lekko oleiste w odbiorze.
Ogólnie kolejny zawód, jeśli chodzi o piwa na 15lecie. W porównaniu do średnio udanej wersji standardowej 0,33l, ta jest znacznie bardziej alkoholowa i dziegciowa.

Clear dark black brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, dark malt, fruity malt, raisin, plum, prune, date, figs, alcohol - bourbon - woody, light to moderate chocolate. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and light bitter with a long duration, wood, date, figs, dark fruit, dark malt, oak, oxidide notes, light to moderate chocolate, anis seed notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20171230]

750 ml bottle shared by Doc - thanks again, Doc! Green bottle, small rectangular text-only black-on-white label marked "Sint Amatus 2013 - Cask Strength Limited Edition - Medium Carbonation - WR Bourbon Barrel 3 Yrs...11% Alc./Vol...Bottling date 21/06/2016" with a few other less relevant details. It pours a cloudy, dark brown with some amber highlights and a very large, growing beige head that takes a while to settle back down. It has the flaws of old and/or BA quads when they don't work for me: oxidized, overcarbonated, a bit too fruity, a bit too dry. It's messy. Brown sugar, oak, caramel, muddled spice and fruity esters. Bourbon warmth, earth, vinous notes. Medium-bodied, with high carbonation and a dry, fruity, boozy, sweet, vinous mouthfeel. Didn't work for me like I wanted it to.

750 ml bottle. Pours a murky brown color with a medium white head. A big boozy nose, caramel. All the spicy yeasty elements of a Quad, some leather, dark fruit, a big boozy hot barrel. Pretty good.

Bottle at Doug’s. Dark amber, small ring of head. Aroma is strong and sharp. Musty, leaves. Tea. Gets a bit boozy towards the finish. A bit drier and dirtier than the norm, but still pretty good.

Bottle split at CBC Islo Matteo ciao, thanks to the man of the moment, 20/02/17. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a decent beige head. Nose is spice, fruit cake, toffee, light bourbon trace, wooded. Taste comprises toffee, Xmas cake, dried fruits, modest bourbon load, sweet notes, vinous. Full bodied, fine carbonation, drying close with a boozy kick. Expected more from this ... a touch harsh and lacking in depth and balance.
