Aromat słodki, dominują suszone owoce (daktyle, figi) w tle coś a la czerwona porzeczka. W smaku pełne, początkowo słodkie, suszone owoce, cukier kandyzowany, w tle nuty przyprawowe. Finisz wytrawny, rozgrzewający z niuansami drewna.

Thank you kraddel & tderoeck! Sampled draft @ VCBF 2017. Dark brown amber, little dark tanned head. Nose is overly harshly alcoholic, harsh varnish, very heavy alcohol with some spoiled cherry. Taste is overly harshly alcohol, clear varnish alcohol, some bourbon, sugar, hazelnut, honey, sugar,... Near flat alcoholic sugar. Alcohol dominates far too heavily here, really takes the beer down.

Matteo’s Ciao @ Craft Islington. Thanks to Matteo. Hazy deep reddish - amber beer, good pale tan head. Palate is airy, semi dry and has decent fine carbonation. Fluffy mellow dark malts, very soft, Mild dark chocolate. Very mild fruity bourbon. Pinch of spice. Floral and estery finish. For an 11% BA Quad this tastes somewhat wishy washy. It’s okay as a beer in it’s own right but ultimately disappointing.

Bottle at Matteo’s farewell tasting, thanks to the main man himself. It pours hazy deep ruby - red with a thick, light tan head. The aroma is rich, sweet, earthy, wood, loads of dried fruits, cranberry, dried raspberry, jam, victoria sponge and light vanilla. The taste is big, rich, toasty, boosty alcohol, jammy raspberry, cranachan, dried berry, wood, leather, resin, spice, candy sugar and toffee with a very warming finish. Full body and high, foamy carbonation. Rather fruity stuff, but a bit harsh and hot also. Good fun nonetheless.
